It's not illegal lol I had a med card and live in a state that is recreational. I had a DR suggest it as alternative to meds. I gave a shot but didn't like how it made me feel. I also don't like medications, I feel they are toxic. I finally had a procedure and now I can do okay without anything.. I still have s
Umm.. it's not illegal in my state. I also had a DR suggest it as an alternative to taking pills that cause addiction. As it did help, I just didn't like either option. So, I opted to just not. But I did try for a few weeks and just worried about that showing up. I never partaken before that. I figured it'd be a more holistic option.

Okay, whether it's legal in your( and mine) state, if you read my post, the DOT still considers it a class 1 drug. I think you are trying to make the system work for you, but your perception of what a "drug" is, is off base. A doctor that suggests medical MJ to a patient that is considering being a truck driver, should have their license yanked. It doesn't sound like it's an ongoing problem, and if still paranoid, then yes, cut your hair real short, you should be able to pee clean, and I believe you, but please keep in mind, the DOT has no sense of humor, and holistic doctors may or may not know what's involved. I think you'll be fine provided being straight doesn't freak you out. I'm a bit worried you looked into that in the 1st place. Things get tense on the road, and sorry, once a burnout always a burnout, not meaning you are a trashy burnout, it's just you know it can help and in a fix, you may go back to it.

Trucking is federally regulated. State drug laws & drug policy are irrelevant in trucking. You don't have to agree, like, or fully understand a law before it is enforced. There is no difference between prescription medicine & drugs except how much regulation they are subject to. You may feel more comfortable with holistic this or that. It's a chemical whether it's made in a lab or created by unicorns while snuggling with puppies. The only chemicals with no side-effects are chemicals with.no effect in the first place. Even water has main & side-effects. There are no single-effect chemicals no matter what their tie-dye marketing claims. Nutritional supplements are totally unregulated meaning they can make any claim, except they cure a disease, contain anything or contain only inert chemicals and not break any law. You are not safer when using unregulated potions just fewer people are accountable for whatever happens when you use them. People can load up on vitamins & minerals which any cancer that may be present will be happy to use for it's growth. Turbo charging a tumor with vitamins is not a healthier cancer.

It’s water under the bridge now. Bottom line is that any hair that was at the follicle when you last smoked marijuana will contain traces of THC. If you want to be able to pass a hair follicle test, you need to trim the hair so that you no longer have that. Hair generally grows a half inch a month. If you last smoked a month ago, you need to trim it down shorter than that. A year ago, shorter than six inches. I’d also trim all of your body hair, something that raises no red flags in a female.

This thread has me cautious. I'm in the middle of major cardiovascular repair. Biggest thing I still have is open heart surgery next winter. Was hoping to go back to work in Oct.2026. But gee....All the drugs they have me on. And had me on. Oxycodone, heart drugs I don't even want to list. One new one. I don't know if the drugs are going to lessen by then. I don't know what they will pick up on in the drug tests. I'm sure I'll be taking pain killers.

Prescriptions are fine on drug tests. It's just the feds think weed has no medical uses and is as bad as a meth habit.

I'm sure there is a return to work process and that process makes room for the normal use of the prescription drugs you will receive. I hope you don't worry more than needed about this before it happens.

I ain't gonna get all worried. Got bigger things to worry about. Like surviving open heart surgery.
I may contact Ohio DOT about it. They're the ones who will call a surprise test on me. Company based there. Done a couple of them already. They've just been urine so far. Could be more. Boss has had them.
