Stevens (new?) Pet Policy

    Graduated trucking school today. Fresh new CDL in hand. Stevens recruiter has been in twice while I've been in school. First time I asked about pet policy, he basically said "don't ask, don't tell". He visited school again today and states that they have just within the past week or so instituted a new pet policy with $500 deposit for dogs less than 40 pounds but driver must be employed 90 days first.

    Any current Stevens drivers have any insight on this?

    Unless it has changed the pet policy is "No Pets Allowed". As we are a refrigerated carrier and mostly haul fod products, a lot of our shippers / receivers dont allow pets on the property.

    As nice as it would be to have a pet in the truck with you, you are probably better off having just the bare essentials and necessities, along with the necessary paper work. This way it is a lot less problems to deal with during off loads, on loads, and D.O.T. inspections.
