    Wind.

Can't see it, but sometimes boy can you feel it.

Add in empty reefer (top heavy) good gust and you are in for a free ride sideways.

We don't know what you've heard, so we have no idea if you're right. :)

#2. You are a perfect candidate for their lease program.

#3. Take what BOOCR says in the first post of this thread and use it as a lesson in falsehood in advertising, its garbage.

    how is it garbage?

Most of what he says is true.. they do layout everything for you in black and white... While the Jake brake is only not to be used on the first 2 mountains you go down. After that you get to use the jake.. 2 mountains they are required to use the jake ( DOT doesn't believe safety should over ride the flow of traffic)

The food is decent enough, hotel is decent enough.. Currently I'm a hold over with about 38 other folks from the last 3 weeks.. but the holiday slowed down the dispatches.

Most of it is very true, safety isn't just a department in Stevens, it's the main department. No chains, if you as a driver feel it's unsafe to drive, "shut it down" is policy.

I have had dispatch try and push me, a simple conference safety in, always gets them off my back. Safety will back the driver, for legitimate reasons...

I beg to differ, an engine brake is a convenience. What happens when the newbie's trainer is in the bunk while he's sailing down Black Mountain at 45mph in ninth gear with the Jakes and an electrical glitch happens... the Jakes cease and Mr. Newbie crashes and burns like Toonces the driving cat because his truck all of a sudden accelerates like a rocket ship--brakes smoking because he's now in too high of a gear and going way too #### fast.

Even with an engine brake, never descend a hill faster than your brakes can handle.
