I am quickly discovering the way to keep moving is to never get where your going. In the last 3 weeks I think I have ran a load from start to finish maybe twice. I have repowered about 8-10 times though.

Lots of repowers this week and next as they try to get drivers headed home for the holidays. But you are right, this does increase the wallet if you don't have to sit at a dock or T/S waiting to deliver/pick up.

Anybody want a 3 dropper with a final in Casa Grande, AZ? Need a load to SoCal for Christmas.

It's funny. I had multiple requests for repowers, but in half the cases where I found what they wanted, they either didn't like the load or wouldn't answer the phone.
I just shrug my shoulders. One driver spent 5 minutes BEGGING me to get him home for Christmas. He was in Lordsburg with a load to SoCal. I called him three hours later with a load that empties out 20 miles from his home at 0400 the 24th.
"But it has THREE drops! Can't you find me anything better?"
Needless to say, he'll be celebrating Christmas someplace other than home.
All I can say is the famous Dagwood Bumstead line as he poured that shakey cup of coffee....Cheeeez!

    Beware my fellow buzzards!
Sunday is the busiest day for phones.
This is the busiest sunday of the year.
I am the main phone person between 0800 and 1100.
    wait....wait...WAIT!!
Hear that? It's the other shoe dropping....
    I woke up with laryngitis.

Having lived in San Diego County for almost 25 years, there's no way anyone in SoCal would ever "own" Bakersfield as "Southern California," no matter where you draw the line! :biggrin_2551:
