I wish I could have driven half as far as I have wandered aimlessly around the yard today...

Well, I have accepted a position with a local company. Went over to check them out while on home time. Sat down with the owner for an hour, went out for a road test. First time driving a 13. Very fun. Got offered the job today. Already called and let my DM know. Now I just need to pick up this load tonight and get it to Dallas, going to flip Cabbage twice to get my student his last 2 mountains, as long as the load is heavy enough, no weight on the load assignment. If Stevens had any freight going anywhere close to Spokane so I could get home easily I might stick around. Closest I can get is 180 miles. The new company is 11 miles from the house. Home every week to ten days for a reset at least. Time to try out a small fleet.

I have picked up in Spokane, but it certainly is out of the normal freight lanes.

Congratulations Fozz!
And now a point to all you newer drivers.
Fozz did it right. Great training and now a great job. If you can stick it out for a year or two, there are great jobs out there and these smaller companies that do well, love well trained drivers.
Stevens is like boot camp. I don't know anyone that would choose to go thru boot camp again, but I don't know anyone that regretted it either.
So Fozz, you become a Buzzard Emeritus.
Remember...once a Buzzard, ALWAYS a Buzzard.FozzyBear, maxwelltie, KMac and 1 other person Thank this.
