Back when I smoked Delaware went smokeless in buildings. I was OK with it for the most part as I never smoked in my home, always outside, something I had been doing since 1985.

I went to visits a friend in Missouri and we were out at a bar, we were sitting at a table, he was lighting up along with the others there, but still every time I wanted a cigarette, I went outside. He looked at me like I was nuts.

Anyone have any experience with cutting the contract short with Stevens? Ive been with them for 7 months and was wondering if I spoke with someone, if they would allow me to leave and continue making my weekly payments. Without them black balling me and making it hell to find employment elsewhere. Now I understand that I signed a contract and committed to a year of work, and I'll fulfill it last resort. I appreciate all the training and experience I've received but I'm tired of them. I can't remember the last day I woke up excited for work. Not trying to bash them or put them down as I'm sure there are plenty of drivers that love it there. Don't want to change anyone's mind about going here as I believe the training was great. But if anyone has any experience, your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

If you work out a payment plan IN ADVANCE of leaving, they will be fine. No bad mouthing, no troubles.
The problem comes when drivers leave, fail to work something out in advance. If you look at your contract, it probably says (somewhere) if you leave before the commitment period is complete, the entire balance is due upon demand.
However, if you go to them in advance and ask for a payment plan, they normally grant it without any trouble.
    good luck wherever you land.

Okay not a problem, yes I do remember reading something of that nature in the contract. Ill attempt to ride it out as I'm extremely grateful of Stevens giving me a chance. Thanks for the knowledge Emulsified and all of the other informative posts you've provided throughout the Aviary.

How many of you had to change your license to another state? If you did when you (or if you) changed it back to your home state did you have to retest? Just wondering, also where do you get your mail?

I had a laugh today when I read about the VW workers rejecting the Union and the Union is appealing because of "coercion, intimidation, threats and interference" against them. WOW has does that feel having the shoe on the other foot. Hate unions, IMHO.
