I must be the luckiest driver to have ever delivered to a Walmart. I cannot remember once where they took longer than two hours. I use to bet lunch with my students that the CB, or buzzer would go off at 1:59 or less, and don't think I ever lost that bet.
But I know it's true about Walmart because I see it daily with all the drivers. Brundidge and Loveland seem to be the worst. I never delivered to either of those.
Maybe it's because I always showered, shaved and put on after shave before my deliveries....![]()

It also depended on what I was taking into walmart... the one load that always took longer was the Kraft foods mixed loads, 52 pallets of assorted stuff.... always took 4 hours. Now I loved that load when I was going home, to deliver it to cheyenne, as I could call, go in early, way early, get unloaded and be on my way home before my appointment time.. now if stevens would have allowed me to just drop the trailer, and go home that would have been even better, but for some reason those Kraft loads were not allowed to be dropped, even though walmart begged for it to be a drop.
Worst walmarts, los lunas NM, and Roberts LA...Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -

That is the absolute farthest east I have been. I do see customers on the list as far east as Nebraska in the north and even Texas down south, but I'm sure those are few and far between. I had a wonderful day today, got pulled in for a level one at the WY/MT POE on I90. Got put OOS by out of adjustment trailer brakes. I mean by 1/8". Fortunately, the officer left her ticket book in the main office and didn't want to walk over and get it, so no ticket. Then she let me drive into Sheridan to get them adjusted. My truck got a sticker though, nothing wrong with it. I'm glad she must be deal a bit, she didn't hear the air leak under my seat while she was standing on the step next to it. Had me do the static air loss test with the motor running? I watched the guy adjust the "self adjuster" with a 9/16" ratchet. I'm getting me one of those and just adjusting them by hand when I pick up a new trailer. On another note, Coors light is very heavy. When you have a trailer full of kegs.

Oh and they did take the whole 2 hours. They probably have 4 in thier contract with Stevens, I think ours is different.
KMac Thanks this. -
I had a level on in MD on Wed, same thing one trailer brake 1/8 out of adjustment. No ticket, and was told to go deliver my load but have it repaired before next dispatch.

I'm In my third week of there training program. In Dallas.
If anyone has any questions hit me up -
Fozzy, what are the roads like up there? I'm trying to get a load into Billings from Pueblo, going thru Sheridan so I can stop off and see my kids and grandkids. Don't want to go that way if there's still snow/ice on the roads. Lived there for 13 years - that was enough.Last edited: Apr 21, 2014

Spring in Wyoming, per previous statement... equal parts suffering and sublime. Going to be running thru later tonight, keeping an eagle eye on the forecast. The other eagle eye was broken in a tragic laffy taffy incident.
