You can park at Thermo King, Kenworth, Or Peterbuilt. Your driver manager will assist you in finding a secure yard near your home 20.

I know starting out I won't get a brand new truck. Is there s set amount of time until you get a newer truck or is that performance based? Yes I know not to lease either.

Well there arent lots of old trucks really. You will get whatevers open. Its kind of a crapshoot. The training trucks on the yard are the oldest ones and those are used in the first week your there. Your Trainers truck can be company truck or owner operator. After thats all done you come back to dallas and thats when you find out whats there. Could be peterbilt or kenworth or even freightliner. All you can be sure of is it will have an apu and do 62 mph.

I would like to hear from a Stevens trainer. What should I expect during training? What are some things I could do to be courteous on the trainer's truck? Is it hard to get a trainer from Ohio? What do trainers expect from a student?

    Thanks!

It would be hard to get a trainer from anywhere specific. It "may" happen but not likely.

What to expect. Treat your trainer with respect and you should get the same back in return. When you are driving, watch whats going on. Dont get complacent. READ all the signs you drive by. When pulling into a shipper/receiver READ the signs coming in. Most are important.

When you are riding and he is driving, you can relax some but still pay attention. Watch how he shifts and deals with trafic. Watch how he deals with customers.

Ask questions. Dont talk constantly, but talk and discuss stuff about what youre doing right and wrong.

Other than that, just normal common courtesy should suffice.
