There are a few options out there. Look around a bit. You have some time under your belt.

Fieldchaser. Good luck on your trip to Colorado! Hope it's uneventful. I'm sure you'll do great!
fieldchaser Thanks this. -
Just remember that all companies are really compromises between what you want and what they want.

Is Stevens more pickier about who they send to school? I ask because I see tons of posts from people going to Prime, CRST, and other mega carriers but very few about ones going to Stevens. What's up with that?

If the girlfriend is not happy, then you wont be happy either

Check around, you have experience, maybe stevens works out, maybe try Heyl, out of Zehpherhills fl.Curb Thanks this. -
People want different things and often, they put too much emphasis on pay-per-mile; new drivers don't have enough savvy to know its about the quality of training, system routing, and the number of miles more than just the cents-per-mile.
In the end, it's up to you, the pre-student. Do some research (and not just TTR), analyze your own wants and needs, make a choice, then stick it out for a year - it will be tough, no matter where you are. Do that and you become a more valuable prospect if you want to move on.Last edited: Jan 5, 2015

OK, here comes another...
Once again...DON'T BLINDLY FOLLOW YOUR GPS!!!!!
It is not your friend!
Tonight we have a driver sitting on a SNOWMOBILE path in Colorado!
The tow truck won't be able to get to him until daylight.
"I was just following my GPS..."
There is a reason she is called Jezabel...it isn't a question of IF...It's a question of WHEN she will lead you astray!
Other great stories from the night shift...
"How much antigel do I put ON the fuel tank?"
"on?"
"they told me to smear it over my fuel tank to keep the fuel from gelling."
(see! it wasn't just me that told these new drivers ####eyed trucker stories!)
Another tip, as long as we're talking about antigel...it doesn't keep your wiper fluid from freezing.
One last tip...if you get a fuel stop on the yard...DON'T!
If you come into the yard for any reason, you must go thru the safety lane and you will be shut down until you clear. We can't do magic here at the dispatch window, no matter what your trainer told you!
And the pumps here on the yard suck! Just call and ask for a new fuel stop. We'll gladly give you one.
Well, back to the fun and games!Corporal_Clegg, Night Prowler and Dryver Thank this. -
It only works if applied manually in sub-zero temperatures with a flesh-covered hand. Rub slowly in a circular motion until finished.
This is pretty much the same everywhere. A lesson I learned early on? No free truck wash on the yard is worth it. -
I have a lifelong friend that drives for Heyl there. Most every time I go to Florida we meet for dinner. I can get you in touch with him if you Curb
