So how long is the contract bruh, because that's what my contract agreed to. And that's what I was told when I got there, and when I spoke to Bonnie.

I'll wait. 7 years ago my behind bro, that's all that's posted in their ads and that's fed to people like myself that wanna truck. I made more prior to stevens and made more after them. You can stick up for them if you want. If you dont work there then keep it to yourself.

The contract is for 28 months. As long as you stay with them one year you can continue the loan
Interest free till paid off. Leave early and full costs are on you. Stay longer than 28 months and
Stevens will start to pay you back. Stay 56 months and you are fully paid back -

One year contracts are still in effect TLeaHeart. You sign them the first day of school. They basically state you will work one year and not give out any trade secrets or proprietary information. You agree if you fail to work one year stevens transport will be "damaged" and you agree not to work for their competitors. Working the year allows you to walk away and still pay 22.50 a month for the loan vs owing it up front as well.

fieldchaser and Dryver Thank this.

My fault I didn't realize you guys were specifically talking about loan forgiveness. Unfortunately yeah you still owe the rest even after a year

I understand the fact that we still owed the remainder of the loan after leaving. I attempted to pay in full prior to returning the truck and was told to contact them to just keep making the payments. They told me they couldn't even find my balance but then sent my debt straight to a debt collector. I appreciate the training, but don't appreciate them playing with my credit. It's all good, I'm just looking out for others.

Did you go to Stevens School in Texas or a 3rd party using Stevens name in another state?
The 3rd parties control there loans and Stevens just sends them a payment discontinue notice and then they will come after you to collect there money. I left Stevens early due to family issues and it went to the 3rd party collector and I settled for $1200. Nothing went to the credit agencies. The collector is someone hired or working for them and they don't want to be hassled by having to go to report anything to the agencies unless you truly default. We where told up front all of this in Keenseburg Co where I went on our first day and that was over 2 years ago.
For full disclosure I work for Stevens again. Came back as soon as I could and do a regional route now.TLeaHeart Thanks this. -
Can I get an invite to the Facebook group if it is still going?
