I was in the shop for the third time this week with the same issue. Sunday morning they sent a PO request to RR via e-mail. Hours went by, I spent long amounts of time trying to get through to RR, even tried siccing the great and powerful Emul on them, all to no avail. So I sent them an email, cc'ing Todd, Clay and Smokey. Within 40 mins we got the po.

RR dept . . .Rest & Relaxation. Hopefully someone has already walked in there and fired every last one. Unfortunately the level of service would be the same with an empty office.

This may have been bad information. I have noticed the parking area is still pretty full although there are no car haulers there anymore. I wonder of the parking was shut down to us car haulers but still open to every one else?

Also that Walmart in Waco down the street from Coca cola- they supposedly tow, but i parked there overnight without being bothered.. but i made sure security saw me walk out of the store a few times with nice fat bags of goods. on a side note i really hate when customers ask you to wear your safety vest, just makes me want to buy a realtree pattern one .

Well, all the written tests are out of the way. YAY! The final 2 I took were air brakes and pre-trip, and got 100% on them both! Fingers crossed that it converts when its skills test time lol
People have asked me why I took the written before starting school, since school provides "cheat sheets" to guarantee a pass... well, thats all well and good, but I needed to know I could do it without help or hand holding. I would say its a girl thing, but its almost certain that its just a me thing. Plus, I need all the extra time I can get on the hill in that big black monster.Dryver, Corporal_Clegg, msa and 1 other person Thank this. -
Congrats Flue, very smart to get them out of the way. You will spend more time in the truck while your classmates are down at the DOT waiting in line.
Any driver that needs cheat sheets to pass DOT tests shouldn't be out here, but they are and they are easy to spot.flue and nascarchuck Thank this. -
Good job. That was very smart of you to do.flue Thanks this.

You will he fine in "that big black monster", just have to get comfortable.
I was unable to take the tests early living in Delaware, so I had no choice but to wait until I was in Texas. If you want to know how much extra time you just picked up, consider I passed all 5 tests on the first try. It still took 4 trips to DPS to get them all taken due to the sheer volume of people there. Not just Stevens people but regular Texas citizens doing their business there. So that is four extra afternoons if they are still that busy when you are there.
I honestly do not remember any cheat sheets. They copied a few chapters straight out of the manual as study guides, but I already down loaded a more recent copy, but taking the tests there were no cheat sheets or reference material allowed.
I know of at least 4 people who were held over a week trying to pass the written tests, they had three weeks going every afternoon and still were unable to pass them and were thus sent home.
There is no guaranteed pass.
Great Job Flue, You should be proud.msa, flue, FozzyBear and 1 other person Thank this. -
Which one of you delivered the rotten lettuce from Taylor Farms?
Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.
