Truck had the brakes on his tailer catch fire yesterday. He was on fairly flat ground, so I'm sure it wasn't like the truck a couple days ago, coming down the mountain with smoking brakes at 65mph, then 'slipping' the tranny into 4th...
He got the truck stopped, but by this time the trailer was on fire. No stopping the flames with that little fire extinguisher.
So what to do?
Pull the pin and drive out from under the trailer to save the tractor?
No... how about jumping in the cab and saving the playstation and TV?
By the way, you can get a great deal on cooked peaches right now....

Just WOW...
Was the Tractor driveable though if he hit 4th at 65+? -
Fourth time I have picked up this same load... fourth time I have needed a weight shift. You think they would figure it out...
Oh well, air actually like this run, a quick easy 620 mile one day run... Lexington to Ottawa. I dropped at Cheyenne, grabbed an empty, came here, dropped and hooked, but then the weight shift.
This week has been going so good since I left the yard on Friday evening., so I guess I shouldn't complain. First delivery was unloaded in about 1/2 hr. 45 minutes total at the receiver, go to next shipper early, loaded and rolling by my appt time, drop in Cheyenne, this load was ready when I got here... some weeks are better than others. -
That would piss me off

Feminist reaction from yesterday, thought you guys might get a laugh.
Was practicing backing, it started raining and the instructor offers to have another instructor come down with an umbrella to escort me to the smoke shack. I was all "No, I dont mind the rain, and besides, there wont be anyone around when I am sloppin through the mud at the meat patch to escort me around holding an umbrella"
He said "Well, you're right about that. But you probably wont be wearing a white tee shirt either."
OOPS!agreentrucker86, Corporal_Clegg and Roknric Thank this. -
good laugh right there.

Sounds about right, just don't know if pulling the pin would have done any good in that case.
