two different trucks, one exploded the tranny going down the hill with smoking breaks...
The other one, flat ground, probably a broken axle seal, and then the leaking oil caught fire, that driver could have pulled the pin, and pulled away to save the tractor and his precious TV and game.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -
I saw the two different trucks... I didn't realize he jumped back the the first truck... my mistake.

There are times I scratch my head and wonder why we do the things we do. I got a load assignment out of Lexington, it was ready by the time I got there last night. Needed a weight shift, so I left this morning... just a run to Ottawa...620 miles, easy one day drive. I am almost here and get the delivery appt for two days from now. It has already been delivered.
Why would an appt have been made for that far out when I was already loaded and rolling? -
So that when stevens makes their weekly report to Tyson, they have that load being 2 days early as a carrot in their hat. Helps offset all those late arrivals each week.
-
There must be some sort of memo going around... himself said he saw a tractor burning this morning off 40 in OK, but it was another carrier. So if you get the memo to burn up your truck today, please disregard. This public service announcement has been brought to you by QualComm...Logging your life, one mile at a time.
Mus07_Grad Thanks this. -
A little suggestion, side note, anything white should be left at home if you want it to stay white. Hope things are going well at school.

You were lucky the load was ready at Lexington. Hubby had a week while he was solo where he made 3 runs from meat patch to meat patch, had to wait almost 24 hours at each for the load to be ready, less than 1800mi for the week.

Hi Honey, hope all is well with you. I thought about you a couple months back as I was passing through Knoxville and passed the Averitt terminal.
I have been very lucky and hope I am not jinxing myself here, but other than one time in grad fleet when I spent three days in Holcumb, I have never spent more than 20 hrs or so at a meat plant. Still waiting on my next dispatch so that is subject to change, but I did tell the Meat Dept that I would have this load delivered by yesterday and asked them to please have something for me, so I will see. -
Surprisingly I did not jinx myself... next load is ready, just waiting on the bills now. Now to get both receivers to take their loads early may take some doing.
