Time to start drug testing the Planners... I got a load at DLD... not rolling then, just told it was ready. I have run all night then past two to get it here to Ohio. I am 8 hrs out from the first stop in NJ... 10:00 am delivery, no problem I can make it. This is one of those loads where there we're no times on any of the stops. While I was rolling yesterday they set the first. Asked my if I was OK for delivery. I answered yes, but I probably would not be able to make the second in Hunts point because of HOS among other things.
So today I get the appt time for Hunts Point...1300. So boys and girls, that is 3 hrs after my 1st appt. And 12 hrs after I have to start my 14... now the odds of getting unloaded in a timely manner on NJ is what? And then let's try to make it over the GWB at lunchtime, oh, and just for laughs, let's do it on the 12th anniversary of ,9/11... SMH.
I can only laugh.Last edited: Sep 10, 2013

So I get empty yesterday in Albuquerque, and sit, and sit, bugging my DM occasionally. Finally I get told nothing is moving until today, which I figured due to the other 3-4 Stevens trucks at the J. So I get up this am and message in, the response, "they are working on you". Not it but you. OK. So around 10 AM I get, "head to Liberal, KS". OK, on my way. So about 16:20 I message again and get the same "they are working...". Drove the last 150 or so with another Stevens driver who was at the same truck stop last night, he told me he already had a load assignment. I'm sitting at the Shell BT and still have no load.

Newb question. Does anyone know Marva Moore in recruiting? Is she honest? Ect ect.
-
As long as you don't take things too seriously, all recruiters are honest.
flue Thanks this. -
Recruiters will give you the best possible version of what to expect. It would be wiser perhaps to ask specific questions regarding the information you were given.

Let me know when you are coming back this way and resting in Md would love to talk to you about trucking life and a cup of coffee
