I'll check on that Alltell. I've seen Millecom and it's uncapped but $70 a month. And yup we took the back way NM, CO. Was very pretty. I don't mind the cold as I'm from Indiana anyway lol. Just checked and Alltel has joined with Verizon and don't offer anything over the 5 gig limit now. You got in in time lol

Smokr it sounds like you are enjoying the job. Good to hear from you. I still have till Feb 5th before I get out, since my training is 6 weeks. Still don't know where I will end up, thinking about running a Tanker for this company out of Lubock TX. Keep us filled in, Be safe...

Thanks Smokr for the posts. I am looking to start school on the 25th. And reading all these posts tonight has enlightened me.

Been with alltel since before they were alltel. So you drove the "devils" highway then. No longer numbered route 666, except on old maps, and at the indian reservation fuel stop.

So you got grandfathered you #*(#)#(#*##$%&* lol yes we did the old 666 and that part of the country is so pretty! I'm not getting nearly the drive time I wish. Maybe two hours a day when weather is good, but we've been hitting crappy weather a lot and I've missed many days driving time. my trainer is a L/O and a very nice guy but he's very cautious with his truck and any chance of winds rain or snow and I don't drive.

That is a lousy way to train....sorry just my opinion. You should be behind the wheel a whole lot more, and get a chance to feel what it is like to drive in wind, snow, rain. There is cautious, and then there is bad training. A person learns very little from the sleeper or the jump seat.

I would have to agree with you. The whole purpose of being on the truck is to learn how to do it.
If he does not start letting you drive, I would request another trainer...or have a heart to heart with him and see if he lets you...then if not, get another trainer!:yes2557:
