There just ain't no justice in the trucking world...
Picked up a load of Pineapple from the Port of Delaware after dropping my meatload yesterday in Jersey. Two drops...one in NC, the other in TN. After heading out and down 95, called my DM and asked if that 0030 delivery in NC was for real, and after he confirmed, I told him my 14 was gone just south of Washington at 1800.
So repowered in Baltimore. I got a two drop, over two day with 320 mile load. I have plenty of hours avail, just not after 14...
Too bad you weren't closer. Would have been a great swap.

Hi Corporal Clegg, I will most likely be required to get a sleep test done because of my BMI. I am 99% sure I do not have sleep apnea though. So I want to get it done as cheaply as possible. Could you please PM me the phone number, as I can't PM yet. Thank you in advance.

I've hauled more loads this week than any one week before. The load I picked up this afternoon is #6. Just keep being repowered. I hadn't even left the shipper today when my DM called me and said to meet the other guy in south VA. I didn't have enough hours to make it all the way, so I'll be there tomorrow morning.
I had figured this would be a ##### week for miles, but as it turns out, I'm just over 2600. I'm surprised.
Works better for me. I'm suppose to be heading to Boise for Thanksgiving and this load I picked up was going to FL. The one I'm getting is going to Fort Worth.
However, it looks mighty shakey as to my getting up to Boise in time now. Looking at my hours available and the distance, it's theoretically possible, but not likely. My wife would prefer I came home for Christmas instead, anyway.
Ce la guerre, ### ala guerre as the frenchies say.
After fighting every square inch of the truck stops on the east coast the last few nights, it's refreshing to be at one where it's half empty tonight.

    No justice what so ever...

Repower came at 0400 on Wed. Now I have a 732 mile run, that delivers on Friday Afternoon, San diego CA. Thanks...Will have 1600 miles friday afternoon...not good. And then produce sends a message asking me for a safe and legal ETA to my final, which is thursday, noon...My DM asks What I thought you had no hours? Not enough to make Salem Oregon by Noon on Thursday, 1300 miles away...but 700 miles no problem.

Looks like just maybe I will be home for thanksgiving, if I can get a load from Cally to WY. only 3 weeks later than I requested, but I have not pushed the issue either..

I am getting punchy though, and need a few days out of the truck. So it is time to get pushy.

Living in Wyoming I know it is a little difficult to get me home...but with all the load we haul into wally world in cheyenne, and knowing where they originate, and when I am less than 100 miles from 4 locations, and they tell me they have nothing going to wyoming, I called BS. This is when I was in Illinois, and took the run down to laredo. First load they sent me was going to Boston. But meat dispatch had their hooks into my truck and would not let go, and let kraft dispatch me.

So today I am at the Golden Acorn Casino... for 22 hours so I can deliver into National city CA in the afternoon...I already informed them I will only acknowledge a load going home, as there are plenty of them coming out of cally to wyoming. And they have 2 days to plan me onto one of them, and I have plenty of hours too.

As far as arguing with the "super hater truckers", it is a great way to pass the time, and maybe get some information across.

Hey guys... I am a noob at trucking and i'm very interested in training and working for Stevens... You guys in here seem to take a lot of pride in this outfit, and speak highly of them.. The only negative thing I can find about Stevens is the high price they charge for schooling. Is there anything else I neeed to be aware of before going to school?

    TLea...you're at the Golden Acorn?
    Sorry to hear that.
And I'd just about sell my soul to get loads to San Diego. But now I'm in W Tennessee, headed for Ft Worth tomorrow...for a monday delivery.
Sent in a repower req. figured it would be better if I left 500-600 miles on the load.
they told me to run with it, they'll get a sitter for it in Texas.
Now I see the mother of all storms is just off the coast of Oregon. I had forgotten that there has been a major winter storm the week of thanksgiving in the NW every year since 1980. (didn't count before then). Last year, it was 1 degree on thansgiving in Boise.
So IF...read that IF, I get a load to Boise, I'll get stuck in Winnemucca at the Cowboy Hold 'em Truckstop and Casino with a bunch of other sorry souls.
