In Amarillo tonight at the TA.
Have 8 hours avail tomorrow, 4.75 the day after, then 3.75 the next.
I'm suppose to be in San Diego for a dental appt friday early AM.
Will remind my DM tomorrow. Hopefully he can repower this load and get me a CA bound load. Maybe a meat load coming out of Amarillo. I can get a reset here, then take off Tuesday AM and make it all work.
Still gives the other driver 800 miles on this load.
    Not a bad swap.
(And keeps me out of the swamp at Waterloo)
Colder than a well diggers butt this morning. Was -13 when I pulled into Gallup.
    Wonder what Wyoming is like!
Suppose to be down into the teens tonight here in Amarillo.
Time to break out my electric socks!
Good news is my heater is working. Not worried about the AC right now.
Maybe adjusting the start voltage on the APU did the trick. Haven't burned out a switch in weeks now.
That delivery at Kraft in Stockton?
It can be a drop and hook or a live unload. They never answer on weekends or nights. If you just turn up, they'll accept. Drop the trailer, pick out a new one and on your way. They're good about accepting early loads too.
Wish more places were like that.

Left Butte MT this morning, after enjoying my new years and my reset. Headed down to Sugar City ID for a monday pickup. I15 was one nasty drive for about 30 miles...I see why it was closed for 2 1/2 days... Must have been about 4 inches of packed ice and snow on the road...Just took my time bare footing across, had a swift pulling a Walmart trailer that started to pass me, and then backed out of it, and just followed me. Had to hunt for a place to park close to the shipper... but I found one, and an applebees across the street, so a good dinner.

    Still bitter cold.

As for WY, 20's and 30's, winds to match of course. And I am headed to Akron OH...I80 here i come. Hopefully I can get loaded early, as I would like to drive the snake river canyon during the daylight hours.

Ever try and remove placards from a bitter cold trailer? not fun, but ingenuity prevailed, and a 12 volt defroster held close, and they pealed off with out any trouble. Kept my fingers warm too while I stood between the trailer and the cab.

I think the top is 0.42 on the company side.
Yes, there are a number of drivers over the 10 year mark.

I'am really considering jumping ship from andrus to stevens. I have a wife a two young kids. I want to know from a current driver if it is a good move or not. I stay out 2-3 weeks now and don't know if I will be able to handle being gone 5-6weeks. I do like what stevens has to offer, newer trucks and might ( a big might ) be interested in there lease program. I know what it takes to run a business as I ran a multi-million dollar business for over 10 years. Only reason I got out is the everyday pressure of dealing with 20 crying employees and everyday unrealalistic deadlines. Trucking is so much more easy for me to deal with. Thanks for any advice.
