I wish ... DM tells me this morning that even though the load is to NC, its not close enough to be a Home load. (insert expletive)

So, she tried all day unsuccessfully to get me a repower to a load going closer to home. Still have time. Hope she can pull it off :(

I get by to see my brother in Spring Lake (near Fayetteville) from time to time and even stop by the business I half own (anyone want to buy half a software company?) outside Greenville.
I know it can be hard to get a load there, but keep pestering. They can find one on the load board if need be.
    Good luck.

Just east of Greenville. Grimesland. If you blink, you miss it.
don't know anything about the strip cl...er..gentleman's clubs. (what a misnomer!)
Just cruise on by the base as I head towards Sanford and Spring Lake.
There's a Kangaroo TS just beyond the Food Lion I park in.
That's one thing about NC I don't like. they are poor on any kind of TS. Just don't seem to exist.
    but don't worry...you'll get there.

Yea, know all about little Grimesland lol
    l

    Well, spoke to my DM
So she spends all day yesterday and today looking for a repower to get me closer to home. She calls me this evening and asks if Im where I can talk for a few mins as she wants to have a conversation. Uh Oh, Im thinkin this has gotta be bad.
Well, she explains that she kept sending req to the planners to get me a load home and they kept sending her loads that were in the same area that I was already delivering to. So she finally gets the idea that something must be wrong somewhere. After 2 hours of trying to figure it out, she finds the problem. A typo had my home as Greensboro instead of Greenville. 200 miles apart. She fixed it now but that was the problem.
So, I now have options she says lol
    a) make the 3 drops on this load over the next 3 days and see if she can get a repower for me.
    b) after the drop in Hickory, deadhead to Greensboro and leave the truck there and take a bus home
    c) after the drop in Hickory, deadhead to Greensboro and leave the truck there and get someone to come pick me up home.
    d) after the drop in Hickory, take whatever load I get and let them try to route me back home.

I told her to proceed with a) and I will think about what to do from there.

Stopped at the Loves in Marion, NC and took a shower. called receiver and they cant unload me early as the plant is closed on Thursdays (lol wtf?) but they do have parking. So I roll on down there to save some hours on tomorrows logs. Cookin a cheese omelet and sausage for diner mmmmmm.
