Just found this conversation, think it's a great idea!! Good way to keep up with other drivers and in my case today to blow off a little steam. Hubby and I team drive, we just got to Whole Foods in Landover, MD for our 0100 appt, two hours early!! There is a door available to back in to next to another Stevens truck, luck is with us!! Hubby comments that someone is not backed in right because the doors aren't this tight. The other Stevens driver is sitting in his truck watching, never bothering to straighten up in the door. Finally after we are parked, he pulls up and moves over about 2 feet. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO COMMON COURTESY???? Even more importantly, what has happened to the camaraderie that used to exist between co-workers???

    Welcome to the nut house.

Maybe they couldn't get the ramp on the trailer cause it was off, or he just got in the door and had to take a breather. I hate to think he would just leave himself in a position where he was in the way then move after yall get in the door.

If all else fails go bang on his door and politely ask em to straighten it out so yall can slip in. Probably won't be offended. :biggrin_25523:

I know that place. Not a difficult place to get into. Plenty of room. Some are just not thinking.
I always look at the truck number. If it's a grad fleet truck, I'm much more patient. Offer to help.

Well sitting in Dodge City waiting for the trailer to get loaded. DLD is tomorrow at 0600. Got off Pre-Alliance because of my horrible miles and being treated like crap by my DM. Didn't matter how much I communicated or asked about things, crap loads and crap miles. Nothing against the program, just have a bad taste in my mouth right now. Might try again in a little while. Back on company and pretty happy so far. Got a new truck with an APU, had it two days and a Swift driver backed into my truck while I was sleeping on my ten hour break. Took plenty of pictures and the driver admitted fault. My poor new truck is now tainted lol! Boy I really wish there was a 13 speed mated to this ISX engine, cause the 8 speed is a horrible match. All in all happy with the truck though. Hope everybody is doin alright. Until next time!

It was an O/O, trainer!!! We were all early so he was just backed up to the dock with his doors closed. When my hubby got out to check if he was going to clear them, the guy rolled down his window and yelled out, "if you pull up one more time, you should be good" never offered to straighten up in 'his' space. My husband has been driving for 20+ years so it was even more aggravating to him that someone from 'our' company would be so inconsiderate. PLUS, great way to 'train' new drivers.

I am hoping that you drive teams, not a trainer. If you are a trainer you should be ashamed of yourself for 'teaching' your student that company policy means nothing to you!!!!

    Hidey-ho y'all.
Laying about in New Albany Indiana waiting for my load to be ready in the morning. Get a whole 12 hours down for a change. Been running pretty hard except for a day down when I had an injector fail. Boy, that sure shakes the old bucket! LOL
Hey, if you hate your spring mattress, when you're in a Kenworth or Pete dealer next ask about the foam ones. I don't know yet if Stevens will pay for one, but I got one anyway. $130 and I'm sleeping SO much better.
If Stevens won't pay for it I'll take it with me when I trade trucks. Probably won't have them pay for it even if they will, and keep it with me instead.
So welcome to the new poster co-drivers! And if I said call me fireball would that mean anything to ya?
Everyone keep it safe and rollin'!

Is it harder or softer than the mattreses they throw in there? I might just have to get one. Mine serves its purpose but still wake up to the occasional back ache.

Last night before hitting the road again takin some time out for family before I hit it. Been such a busy week, I think I'm more exhausted than when I got here. :biggrin_25518:

Made some antenna mounts for my T2. Came up with a way to get em mounted on rear of the cab without "permenant modification to the truck".
Threw up a couple wilson 5' antennas. swr down to 1.2:1. Anxious to see how well they work.

    Anyways time to sleep.
    Be safe everyone.

I think it's about the same, but it feels softer because there aren't any springs to poke ya here and there. It gives more even support. And I don't get that back twinge when I sit in the driver's seat for a while anymore, but that might just be because the old mattress was getting plain uncomfortable.
