yep I have had to be rescheduled more in the last 4 months than the last 3 years..
If the load is not a meat load, they reschedule... meat loads they will find a repower.
Did you get a jet booster on that truck??? or maybe you got that teleporter I keep requesting?
Sitting in Clinton NJ right now watching the cluster here at the Pilot... Have a 1700 delivery in fogelsville PA, better know as Allentown PA. Hope they got me another load to pick up, as parking is minimal at best.

 

Did a 3-dropper in NYC today (MT. Vernon, Ridgewood and Brooklyn). Exciting stuff to say the least.

Got a load assignment 20 minutes after submitting an empty call. Picking up produce in Swedesboro NJ (right across the river from Philadelphia) tomorrow at 1230, then 3 drops in IL for that load. I head out of the city with the plan to stay at the Petro in Bordentown tonight. As soon as I get onto the NJ turnpike the CB comes alive with talk of the NJTP being closed at X4 due to an accident. I gathered from the chatter that some poor guy decided to end his own life by leaping from an overpass and becoming a hood ornament on an unsuspecting big truck. What a way to go. And I don't even wanna know what its like being the truck driver and having to replay that mess in your head everytime you get back behind the wheel.

So I got off at the service plaza just south of Carteret with the intention of waiting an hour or two for the road to reopen then continue onto Bordentown
Well that was 3 hours ago and traffics still a mess down there...even though the road has been reopened. But all the traffic is still mangled so I'm gonna take my break here. Its just about 80 miles to the shipper
I think I can make that by 1230 tomorrow, even on a 62 MPH buzzard mobile.

 

I stopped for a 15 min break at a rest area on I35 south of Dallas last night and 2 Mexicans tried to sneak onto my truck behind the Cab. I caught them and pulled my air horn. I called the cops but they had already disapeared.

On my way to W Memphis for a delivery tommorow.

 

Got repowered to a team today in Omaha.
Works good. They had a load going to Denver, but doesn't deliver until thurs at 0800.
Perfect for both of us.
I think I have just enough hours to get this load delivered, then down to the meat patch. Can probably get a reset there.

I just repowered here in Earle,AR with a load to Nashville tommorow. Then pickup again in Murfresboro

 

Made my drop at americold in allentown, and got a load picking up in allentown, at Kraft, but not until 1630 today.. 24 hours between delivery and pickup. At least I found the new Truckstop here in Allentown, well Trexler. Just 2 miles from americold, and 4 miles from kraft.. headed to kraft aurora IL, get to play the find an empty game again.. until they tell me to bobtail . Then just maybe, a load to ft worth??? my safety talk is do again...Time to loose another pound of flesh to mother, she will still say I am compressing. Then Home from there, to pick up my new phone for the switch from Alltel to AT&T . Sure hope the plan comes together...

 

Slid into Denver today and convinced Nabisco to take the load early. Now dispatched to Dodge City for a load going to Arcadia, FL.
Any bets on where that one will be repowered?
I have the time, but I know they like to get it to the FL guys wanting to get home.
Just so long as the swap is good...
Sitting in Lamar, CO tonight at the Loves. Couldn't make it to Garden City before running out of hours. Got just enough to get to Dodge tomorrow.
Get back 10 the next day and 11.5 each the two after that.
Was hoping for a reset, but the DLD on this one is 2300 tomorrow night.
oh well...

 

TL...don't get mother upset too much. I averaged 59.5 today...I have to go in and see her in another couple weeks.

 

Truck has slowed a little this week,that allright we needed a little break after last week.Sitting in Kingdom city at the Petro,we have a 2130 appt. at wallyworld in Harrisonville manana.Spotted a golf course outside of Boonville my last time through here,gonna try to get in a round of golf in the morning.Life is tough,but somebody has to live it.LOL.Hopefully they have somewhere I can park my truck,gonna call them in the morn.Stay safe everyone.

 

Ok, so got my 5 dropper done. Was headed to the truckstop down the road from springfield, mo and got a message to pickup a load from st josephs bound for canada. Before I could get parked the 2nd message came over sayin we know you can't go into canada but pick it up and we will repower it close to the border you're the only truck in the area. I get down there and the load isnt ready. Not a problem dld is 0600. I wake up at 0530 no calls. I check back at 0600 not ready. I say nerts to it and sleep in. Finally get the call at 1015. So I grab it and run like the wind with it. The plan was to stop outside of benton harbor at the rest area. Get halfway there and the repower comes across. Rerouted to Lebanon, IN. Ok not a problem I'll just catch I74 and run on over to indiana. Get down here and the truck isnt here. They say should be 0600 in the morning. The FJ is a disaster area. Can't get in or out of the place because trucks are blocking the entrance. Had to get in through the fuel isle and out through the scales. I went my round through the lot narrowly missing trucks by 2 and 3 inches on either side and find he isn't there. So I roll on over to the local KFC where they have truck parking hidden in the back that the locals like to use. QC where I'm at and that he will have to meet me here. Come to find out he can't roll until 0730 and is a ways out. So I get to sleep in again .

Bad week for miles good week for rest lol. Hey, TL you're in the area come play hero for dispatch LOL.

Edit: ok, repower knocked out at 0700, ended up parking 1 mile from the drop point. Hope the next run has some miles to it.
