Sorry Nighthawk, got the call this morning, we need your help... really:biggrin_25511:
Meat load to Burlington NJ.... T1 student so trainer can only run 750 miles a day... cant make it from waterloo... and Tyson was late getting it out...
Okay, I will help, as I really don't feel like find the empty in Chicago this evening..

I find it funny Emulsified, mother gets you for averaging over 58 miles per hour, and since I am governed at 66, she tells me speed has nothing to do with my compression. She trys to explain to me it has to do with the QC point to point tracking.
I keep telling her, give me electronic logs, and I will prove I am legal, as it logs by the minute, and I won't have to worry about the 15 minute paper logs... I will actually gain time back.

Hello all. I'm starting Stevens Transport school on april25. I already read everything on this forum and I'm ready to give it a try. I am divorced with no children so I dont care about home time since I live alone here in Euless,TX. The job I work now only pays me $295 a week so this will be alot better.

Have anyone been at the Dallas School recently. How is the typical schedule. Any more info would be very helpful for me. Thanks :biggrin_255:

Sitting in Harrisonville waiting to drop at Wallyworld tonight. My manager had said something about a preplan to cali.I had turned away a repower request going to Jersey because I was trying to get out of there.Have had two preplans going where, you guessed it,Jersey.LOL.They are trying to punish me I know it.The last ones a good load though, much better than the first.Maybe they will give me that one.We shall see.I hate the Northeast, but I know I have to run it to make money,CIE LA VIE.

Corporal_clegg helped me out by pointing me to a post he made on another forum, about his day by day experience at the school was very informative. I'm sure he wont mind me linking you to it.

Well I will comment here....... I did not go to Stevens CDL school but I have talked to a few that have and my trainer in OR-1 went through it and everything I have heard is that it is good training! If you start with Stevens and go through with everything you will know the ins and outs of the trucking industry. NO you will not know everything, but you will be well educated. Stevens is a training school and understand that. Once you get time under your belt you will then be able to move on to other companys if you choose and you will not have a problem getting hired. It is tough being out on the road, even if you dont have a wife or kids! I lucked out and now have a local job with an oil company here in Michigan and am home every night. I was not with Stevens that long but the expreiance was like no other! I had quality training and everyone there treated me with respect! But I treated them with respect also!!! And thats how it is supose to work. I know some people get on here and tell how they were misstreated and what not, but I believe you reap what you sow! I wish everyone out there that is an OTR driver the best of luck and to be as safe as possible! You give 100% to the job you have and you will do good no matter what company you go with! It's all about what you make of it!

If someone is listed as Time-Off, does that mean it was approved? Or they don't know where he is?
