I had to get tested before they would let me start school. But I had mine done at home. No clinic. Got it done alot cheaper than what Stevens wanted to send me to.

True if you meet the criteria for testing... over weight, neck size... And they will try to send you to the sleep lab that the doctor is associated with.

There are much cheaper and easier ways to be tested.

We drove at 57 (when we could) and according to the QC, we averaged 6.3.
My dash said 6.8, but who can trust that!
I know others have gone over. It's just not a lot.
There are 4 good safe havens between the summit and Grand Junction, including two rest areas.
Gypsum also has a lot for their truckers to use and anyone is welcome to use it.
I've done that pass at least 100 times. It's really no big deal if you have at least a years experience in driving.
that is...when there is no snow!
So Dave left me with a brand new set of chains for super singles. I tried to talk him into putting them in his carry on, but he insisted I keep them as a 'momento'.
    Hoooweeee!

In Racine tonight. Left Council Bluff this morning at 0400 and made two of my drops. Third one is in Racine, just down the street at 0900 tomorrow and the last in Big Bend. I have 2.25 hours avail tomorrow and zero on tuesday.
I should be able to make it, but I'll be a guest of the Petro here in Racine until wednesday.
By the time I get any hours back, I'll have a 34 in.
And that's all that's new from the northlands.
Looks like I'll scan about 2800 this week.

Thanks for the update, so if the QC says 6.3 then actual is about 5.7. For an experienced driver that understands grades, and that winter can strike that area at ANY time, it is not a bad drive. On the western slope there are a few safe havens, but the East side, where the elites live, that do NOT want trucks allowed on I70, interferes with their skiing, there are few. Then the Utah section of I70 is just as scarce..
I just see many non trip planning stevens drivers getting into trouble on that route.

I ended last week with 2900 miles, so a good week. Setting in the dock in Houston this morning on my first stop, waiting to be unloaded... then off to my final 9 miles away.. Been 3 hours since my appointment, and they have not even started unloading yet.

Glad everybody is doing so well this week. After three monster weeks,Im having a slow week.Must be the cycle Im in.Being patient unlike my character. But that will not last long.Ill give it another day to drop this drop in Jersey manana, and see what I get out of there before I ride my managers behind.Ive already started sending hints that this is not gonna cut it.Some drivers are happy with 2300 mile weeks, thats not gonna cut it on my truck.Ive noticed a concerning trend when I dont have a co-driver on my truck, and its not a good one.Everybody be safe.:biggrin_2552:

I had just sent a message on the q/c stating my disapproval with my week, before I had posted the last reply. It wasnt more than a few seconds later that my phone is ringing, lol. My DM.His ears must have been ringing. He says how did u end up on this crap load.I say, better than sitting for two days in an area with no freight,so I take this repower. He says let me look at the screen. They have you soft planned on a load out of joliet, heading to Gainseville.WTF,LMAO,Im unloading in Seabrook,New Jersey in the morning.I would say thats a little way from Joliet.I would like a little of what their smoking back there in the office.Emulsified,I use the fact that we cant take certain routes, such as I70 to add miles to my loaded totals. For you drivers that arent privy, any load that the shortest route is a route that we are restricted from, the loaded miles that show up on the Q/C are based on the shortest route. The computer doesnt know that we cant take that route. So its up to you to get with your manager and make sure your compensated for the extra miles you are forced to run out of route.I.E.Los Angeles to Denver.Shortest route, I15 to I70.THIS IS WHAT THE COMPUTER CALCULATES.Its 100 miles further going up to 80 and down.If you dont say anything your not gonna be compensated, and possibly get charged for variance also.So be smart guys, you need to know all of our restricted routes, and whenever a load would run those routes and save miles, you need to speak up and take care of business.Take care. By the way your manager can change those totals,so dont except it if they tell you they cant.Chow.
