Yeah, and your wondering where these guys are getting there advice.I hate to say it ,but hopefully their trainers arent giving them that kind of advice.Im sitting in Jersey now, after running a meatload with a 300 mile deadhead.Glad to take it,helped produce out on a late load, gave up some miles to do it,so jonathan hooks me up with the meat patch on a already loaded trailer that kept me running thru the 4th.Now sitting in jersey, lol.Go fiqure.I knew the east coast was slow,so I expected a down day.Thats o/k,my co-driver is tired I can tell.4200 miles for the week,we can chill for a day. Some of these guys freak out if they have to sit a day waiting on a 1800 mile 3 day load.Do the math guys, you sit a day for a load you gotta run your ### off on for 3 days.Making up any time you wasted by sitting.Wake up guys, and all you trainers, take your head out of the sand.WTF.

Shiftylots,I will tell you yes its worth it to be a trainer.I probably make an extra 10 grand a year and take 7 to ten days off every 5 weeks.Training allows me to do that. You have to get use to a different person being in your space, some that you possibly are not fond of.In my 2 plus years of training Ive never had a driver get off my truck for any reason.Nor have I had a driver fail to complete his training requirements once he stepped on my truck. Its difficult at times, but if you can be diplomatic at times and teach it can be rewarding. When I get burnt out,I take a break and run solo for a few weeks.I like my space also and enjoy running solo.I will say if your gonna train just for the money, its not worth it,you have to want to do it.Hope that answers your questions.

    Shiftylots Thanks this.

I don't know what is going on in dallas the last couple of weeks, but it sure seems like there is some kinda disfunction getting po's delivery #'s completely wrong or just missing. Having to call in for every delivery and some picks waiting on hold forever to get info that should be on the load assmt. Grrrrr...still getting deceñt miles though.

One possibility is this is vacation time. Every time a DM goes on vacation, another has to pick up his fleet. We already know those guys (and gals) are the most worked people in that building. I'm sure some of the same happens with other departments.
Fortunately for me, my DM will be on vacation next week...the same week I'll be in the yard.
    Keep patient!

Anyone familiar with Natalie Cabballero? This is the recruiter I have been assigned to, she has told me that everything has gone through fine. I know from reading up on Stevens that further searches are done on applicants once they arrive in Texas. She told me she has done all the background checks and work history that needs to be done, and that I would be hired. Any suggestions on questions!!!
