Running solo right now for the first time in awhile.I basically put the last driver I had off the truck. The first that I had ever done that to.Just didnt have the situational awareness necessary to do this job.I knew it was gonna be fun when he got out of the van to get on my truck and his shorts were down around his knees, really.Ever heard of a belt.Im a middle-aged white man that would smack my son for wearing shorts like that.Lets just say he didnt last long on my truck. Not a good fit. What the hell was Randell thinking on that one.Hopefully he gets some retraining and wakes up a little bit.God I hope we are not so desperate that we have to settle for drivers like this.Pull up your shorts and put a belt on.I actually had a shipper mention it to me.Not good.Nice to have the truck to myself.Been a tough week.I just dont have the patience for the work this driver needed this week.He reminded me real quick why Im now a finish trainer.Normally I have good patience. He destroiyed that quickly.Wont go into everything that happened, but it was not good.He is gonna be a handful for whomever gets him after his retraining.Be safe everybody.Prima donna trainer, lol.

Thanks. I too was not a favorite in compliance 1st time I drove for them.Beverly was always on me. Seems tho from what I've read you dot have the hours you don't run with the load. I guess as with everything else electronic logs have good points and bad points. -

I had a student like that when I trained for SMX. He didn't last on my truck either. Don't see what the fashion in wearing shorts/pants like that is.
Made it easier to catch em when they ran from me in my last job. -
venne Thanks this.

I'm sure the powers that be will take that critique for what it's worth. I start this weekend at Stevens. Be interesting to see how much has changed in the last 13 yrs since I drove there last. Not overly thrilled bout going back through the entire program but it's been 8 yrs since I drove a truck. Looking at it as a learning experience since alot of things have changed. -

Only suggestion on materials that I can provide is to read all the chapters, even Passengers. I did have questions in the Pre-Trip section specific to buses and after just reading the chapters, I was able to answer the questions correctly.Shiftylots and cdot04 Thank this. -
nascarchuck and Shiftylots Thank this.

The permit test is on chapter 14 only? Papers, permits and lighting- ect. Thanks for taking the time, as you said I want to be prepared for the test so that I can get as much time in the truck as possible. What is the schedule for the 8 visits to the testing center, can you go when you want or are there designated times during the week? Thanks and see you guys soon!!1 -
