I was called the next day. I haven't heard or read any issues of not getting calls after submitting an application. I graduated from Stevens school on Friday, I'm here just waiting for a trainer now...

Back when I applied, I didnt get called for 2 days, so I called them and asked what recruiter I was assigned to. Turns out my app hadnt been processed or something yet, but I got the ball rolling by calling.

Well...after a 5 hour stop at Americold in Indy, I'm finally on my way. Have three pallets left for Ft Worth. At least should get some good mpg's.
Was hoping to make Joplin tonight to have dinner with my brother. Guess it will have to be next time.
c'est la vie! -
Will today be the day...? (fingers crossed)
-
When I applied it took a few days to process, if you dont get a call in the next week call them and find out who your recruiter is. Leave them a message and they will call you back. Make sure you have at least 3 years of steady work history proof available. Hope that helps a little!!

Man I hope so, tom will be a week for you, meanwhile having to pay for the hotel stay......crossing my fingers for you Mistermino!!!

I know this has nothing to do with this tread, just wanted to say your post helped me decide on Stevens sending my app in to day.

That is a good thing for me the school I am attending in Sept has a 10 speed so when I join Stevens I have a leg up on that at-least.
-
Not really. The trucks at the training school are 10 speeds, but if your going to school somewhere else, the over the road trucks here all have 8 speeds.
But its not that much difference. -
I have a question for Stevens Academy graduates. Did any of you get taught how to do a 90? I never did, and as far as I know have never had to do one.
I have done 45's, and that is the only one they spent any major time on, also the only one tested for.
We did some offset straight line and played with serpentine. I also never did an "alley" dock, whatever that is.
My last morning I got to try the Hunt's point mock up they have, but they had me shut it down before I got it in the hole.
I'm sure if I had spent more time out there I would have experienced these, but now I'm just curious. Thanks for any light that can be shed.
