Stevens Transport aviary

By the way, I did read a couple of the "Stevens Sucks" threads on the board here, but I'd like to hear your specific experience.

 

basically in the e-mail the guy said nobody who drives for stevens transport drives without signing a contract

 

My orientation date is March 7 also. You never specifically say what this "contract" is that you are suppose to sign. What does it bind you to? Also, it really makes no sense why a company would make you sign a contract and not let you read it. The language in a contract normally states that you have read and understand the contract before you sign it. Several weeks ago I specifically ask Denise at Stevens about any contracts I would have to sign. I asked her to email me any such "contracts" and she told me there weren't any. Maybe I will see you March 7. Have a safe trip!

When I was looking at Stevens, they were the only company that would send me a copy of everything that I was going to have to sign.
If you ask, they will email it to you!

 

I read your post too quick! I wish I was at home, I would send you what they sent me. At the time I was looking at going through their training!

 

Has anyone heard from Baracuda lately? He is out with a trainer right now>

 

Thinking of switching over to stephens from marten. Its been pretty good here at marten but havent got a chance to get home yet since jan. 19th it seems they keep giving me the runaround when it comes to hometime. Ive been with a O/O for 10 yrs. and was forced to go elsewhere as the economy was getting bad so I went with marten in Jan. I live about 120 west on dallas and was wondering if I had a better chance of getting home with stephens or stay with marten. I dont mind stating out on the road but I was in houston last week and they denided hometime again for the second time since jan. Any thoughts from anyone

 

Total BS.... I went to a school of my choice, paid for it myself, and then went to Stevens. They pay me $25 per week for my school, no contracts to pay for training, no long term commitment. Somebody is trying to spread negative rumors, or is mixing what is required if you go to the Dallas School.

Stevens will send you a packet of all the information that you will be signing during your first days of orientation. Request it, and go over it. Then decide for yourself.

 

Baracuda is doing well and is out with wgcarver.
