My CDL training was through an approved school. So that's not an issue.
My RLS medication isn't a controlled substance. But in all the conversations I've had with my recruiter, she never once asked about any medications I'm on. Hopefully they won't be an issue. I guess I'll find out next week.

I wouldn't leave it to 'hope', the recruiter is interested in getting you signed up for school, nothing else. You should get concrete answers before you head or you'll find out next week and think about it on the bus trip home. Just sayin'.

 

So, if I get sent home for some reason, they don't pay for my transport like they said? I've already paid for my airfare because they said I would be reimbursed.

 

They usually give you a bus ticket. I never heard of them reimbursing for airfare, unless something changed.

They dont charge you for the bus ride home, unless you get sent home for failing the drug test or lying on your app.

 

Tleaheart is right. I was on my phone the last post and the screen is set up to where I cannot read what I have written the sentence before. If you are fresh out of CDL school then you will not have to go to school here again. OR1 Skills test will determine your abilities, if you are sub par they may ask you to attend their training.

Every Guy that was on a narcotic in my class was put on med hold....but as TleaHeart said it is completely up to the Doctor here. The FMCSA has nothing on some of the safety policies held by Stevens. Thanks for the clarification TLeaHeart, you have been reading my questions since the beginning of my journey, kinda fun to answer some alongside you . Good luck to you all.

 

She said they would either buy a bus ticket for me, or I could buy a plane ticket myself, and they would reimburse me up to $200. I opted for the 1 hour flight instead of the 13 hour bus ride.

I'm not gonna fail my drug test, and I didn't lie on my app. So, I should be good.

 

Stevens will either pay for your bus ticket or reimburse you up to $200 for the price of your airfare. Same if you get sent home for anything other than lying on your application or failing drug test.

Check the drug thru your recruiter. If nothing else, you get it settled up front. It's the pits to be sitting there for an additional week on med hold, before being able to continue when you could have this all taken care of before arriving.

 

Just delivered in Ft. worth. Got a message on q/c that says "head back 2 yard - will". Wonder what I did now.
