Josie is a Stevens recruiter and as far as I know on Stevens payroll. I havent personally dealt with her but talked to a few that did. They all say she is good to work with and real nice. My experience with their recruiters has been positive.

    Good luck!

I was going to suggest this. I drove the shuttle for a week and my paycheck doubled. But then again, thats not saying much with training pay. I enjoyed it though. Meet alot of people and like you said, take the van back to your room at night, WalMart, etc...

I saw plenty of guys with a Felony Backround make it through the cut. It is all about the length of time since your last offense. If you do not disclose every charge to them just keep your bags packed cause they are gonna find out and you will be back on the bus. Good luck man, find your brother and work him!!!

They call that Termination Dust in Alaska...the magical white dust that terminates the "good" weather.

Call Stevens in Dallas and talk to Safety. Get the name of the person and have them approve you and send you a signed letter before you go to school. Don't base your decision on what a recruiter tells you. They have no authority to approve you. Only Safety can make that decision, and I wouldn't wait. I also have some issues in my backround, although none of mine come up on a check, I disclosed it all and had it run by Safety before I went to the school in Dallas.

Remember that there are many more connections between trucking companies and TSA because of the terrorist angle than ever before. Vetting everyone's background is routine now. The truth will set you free.

They must like you, I was never offered any more money to drive the shuttle, not that I minded..lol. Well I got a trainer, seems to be a good guy. Lucked out I am leaving right off the yard with a load going to Long Island. I am so excited I cannot even explain. Im sure this guy will get annoyed with me, I am very eager to learn all the time. Here we go!!!!!!

Dang... I was about to say I'm in PA now loading heading to Ft Worth then to the yard for a few repairs. Should be there Sun or Mon. Was going to look you up while I was there. Glad that you are hitting the road though. Best of luck and be safe!
