You got me beat. Sitting @ KW in Ridgefield, NJ. I was the recipient of flying debris to the windshield while driving over the beautiful Hackensack River. Everybody in Dallas was cool about this one.

 

Made our FedX delivery to KC on time last night. Decided to spend the night there than search out a TS. Seemed pretty nice, but I was tired.
Woke up this morning to a preplan. PU in NE and take to LA.
Yes, had to ack that one. Something new.
No sooner had that one ready to roll, than a new one came in: Pickup at IBP in Madison, NE and take to McAllen, TX.
DM calls, laughs and says, "You don't think we're letting you go to Cali, now do you?!"
Nope,...on safety hold. Gotta get back to the mothership.

BTW, TLea...they accept the 'outside' med card as far as making it legal for me to drive back to Texas. Otherwise they get their schincter all water tight trying to figure out how I can get back.

Flightwatch....my front is beginning to look like that, but it's not from deer. it's from students trying to relocate immoveable objects with the bumper.

Took my present student to Waffle House this morning. He'd never been.
I told him it was more of an experience than a dining delight.
Told the waitresses he was a 'Waffle Virgin' and they took care of the rest.
Not sure when he'll speak to me again!

That's all that's new. Hope we can skirt that ice storm moving eastwardly.

I guess they didn't pay attention in physics class...the old "two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time" concept. But they must have been at least intrigued during the lesson about the immoveable object versus the unstoppable force. It's nice to test the laws of physics, but rarely does one win. In fact, I think the last "winner" in that area was a guy named Einstein...

 

still waiting here at tyson seguin tx... yep the dld has passed two hours ago, and shipping says it will be after the second shift comes in... so after 4pm...
Inform my DM who is working today, and he says yep the CSR is aware, it is a team load?????? well then why was I dispatched onto it??? no answer needed. Rain Rain, drizzle and more rain... And it is snowing in Las Cruces NM today....
They will be finding a repower somewhere for this load too...

Now why does Stevens allow tyson to miss a DLD by hours, and still expect the delivery to be on time... and this happens everytime I come here?

I realized that emu... but find it strange how the "outside" medical card is good to get them out of a bind due to lack of management skills and planning, but is NOT good enough the rest of the time. I know otherwise they would put you on the greydog to get you to the yard for their mismanagement.

Now come on, the waffle house is a great breakfast, and inexpensive. Get to the south where it is waffles and chicken, even better.

Winter has arrived all the way to mexico.

 

Actually, I love the Waffle House.
I think it's the interaction of everyone that makes it great.
Food's fine.
Where else can you go and find a waitress that has her name tatoo'd on her arm so she won't forget who she is?
My coffee cup never gets empty and everyone smiles.
Can't beat that!
