Miss all my drivers here in the aviary!! Well all my required miles have been driven for OR2, just waiting for that magic 21 days to come. DD is a blast, learned more in the first day than all 5 weeks with a trainer. I cannot wait to be solo, sleep sounds good. Getting to learn the stevens Game, no prob just have to be a player....lol. Dont think I will make it home for Christmas but soon after depending on how true the word of a route home is. Been away from the kids for a little over 3 months now, ready to get some time in at home. Keep it real drivers, see ya round!!

Very cool. Glad its going good for you.

Holy cow! It took me three weeks to do it but I have read all 397 pages of this thread. Thanks smokr you owe me three weeks of my life back for starting this thread!
Anyway in all seriousness I am state certified food manager, and I can tell you food poisoning usually takes 12-36 hours to set in. don't blame the salad bar, look at where you had dinner the night before.
Question to the old timers with Stevens or some of the guys who had trouble with admissions. I have been on the same job for 9 years but have been paid 75% under the table the whole way. My w-2s will only show about 6500 per year. Will this hurt me in obtaining employment at Stevens? -
Dude, just like that really bad girlfriend you had in high school, these are weeks you will never get back!

And you MUST blame the truck stop salad bar. It's in the CDL manual. No, really. It is. -
I Really didn't Say that. You might not wanna type that again, anywhere, ever. -
Food poision can set in from 2 hours to 36 hours depends on what caused it. Serve safe certified.
And yes what you have stated will hurt you. Low income while working will be questioned. Also you just admitted you have no problem violating federal when it benefits you. Will you do the same thing with the hours of service? -
Well, we repowered a load in Utah last night. Ours was a safeway load due friday, this one we got is a safeway load due thursday.
Finally made it here.
Phew!
Neither fog, nor ice, nor cold weather shall keep this driver from his appointed roads.
made it in here barely at the end of my 14.
Next stop is the TA.
I need something other than coffee and bannanas. -
Thanks for the info TLea I appreciate the response. I was really looking forward to giving Stevens a try. Maybe I will have to go another route.

Best of luck to you, peeps. Just keep in mind that you won't be rejected if you don't apply. I would apply and see where it goes. Or you can give CRE a shot. They're offering a no-cost, 6-month commitment deal now if you can start soon.
Just stay with your first employer for one full year, no matter what happens. Then apply where you want. -
Good job getting thru DD. Now everything changes when you go solo.
No not really but there are some things you have not dealt with yet. Like running up against your 14 and running out of your 70.
Get home and enjoy your kids.Shiftylots Thanks this.
