Well I was able to deliver this am. No one called me on reschedule and couldnt get ahold of rec so I just drove in to final. They were dead, no other trucks even docked, the put me right in and I was unloaded in 20 minutes. Got a load 13 miles away get there and they have me rolling in 30 min.....? 2oday has been very fast paced day ended up driving about 250 off the new load to Yuma. So you ask....whats my delima? What do you get when you run consecutive 600 mile days.......low hours!!!! Ive ran myself right in a pickle, will be short 6 hours to make the load. Wont get any back till a day after delivery. SOOOO I am gonna run this till im out of hours and put in a repwr req somewhere on 40 w. If you are on 40 and need a load you can have it......in NM somewhere....lol, no sooner. Be well drivers. I learned a little about better hour/mile management this week.

Ask for a repower and meat load in Amarillo. That will leave a few miles for the next guy and get you a reset.

Some will disagree but what you are doing is maximizing your hours. Dispatch knows you can't make it with your hours but you are on 40 lots of trucks to repower with. Amarillo is good alburquerque is okay.Shiftylots Thanks this.

Just a little explanation about Angela.
Before she was in the VP position, she was running the NW taters desk.
She oversaw AL the trucker's pal, or What you call NW dispatch.
She thought there was no reason to follow the FMCSA laws as they got in the way of her loads. The only reason you needed to stop was to buy fuel. No need to waste a team, when a solo should be able to run non stop from Washington to Texas. If you were pulled into a scale and put O/S she had a fit.
Then came Qualcomm. Safety had a way to track you. The non stop runs came to an end. She became very much of a PnTA. Tell you just to unplug the thing and hit the road. Some did, some called in and refused to run. She would try to sit them out til they would accept loads to move.
Then, Simplot decided to go with 5 core carriers on there loads. Stevens was included in these carriers. BUT, Stevens was 4th on the list, as it was alphabetical. She told them Stevens had to be NO. 1 on the list or we couldn't guarantee service. Her Dad almost blew a gasket when the Simplot VP of transportation called and said Stevens was being dropped from the core carrier program and their services were no longer needed.
Needless to say, she was removed from her job as NW CSR. Daddy put her upstairs in charge of Sales, ie Party Planning.
Al got to be his own man and thing's in the PNW settled down.
Life is good.
Some O/O have it set up where they are not truly leased to Stevens. They don't have to turn in logs to Steven's. They are their own co. so they can work the comic book to their advantage. If they crack up killing a bus load of school kid's, Steven's is an innocent party, renting them a trailer.

The guy was an obvious fish story teller.When he attacked you I couldnt resist.I might have taken it a little to far,but he needed to be brought down off his high horse.He was to the point of such frustration all he had was one liners that he thought were hurting my feelings.Nothing was said in that discussion that should have been deleted.IMHO.I have to say Tlea you are a much better man than I to be able to just walk away and not get into a tit for tat as I did.He never would give me the numbers I asked for to bring him down any further.Which leads me to believe he wasnt doing any where close to as well as he was claiming.
He just couldnt think rationally before he would make some very ignorant and assinine statements.LMAO,IT WAS FUN THOUGH.He will probably think again before spouting his tales and attacking his fellow drivers.Perhaps not.Sorry I drug that thread into the dirt.On a lighter note.Got my new grill this morning.My smile is once again beautiful.

Just make sure you leave enough time for them to find a truck to deliver on time.Ive seen guys get down to the last few hrs,oops I cant make this.Not good.You then get a service failure.

Dropped the Easter candy this morning and came down to Santa Nella. No loads. The DM said I should have one today, but it never happened. At this point, I'd prefer to get my restart. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Well, I've gotten two near misses in the reset department during this last week.
Last one lasted 31 hours in Ft Worth, but here I sit...waiting to deliver tonight.
Been here nearly 24 hours....waiting...waiting...waiting....
Then after delivering...I'll be waiting...waiting.
Freight this time of year sucks!
If they didn't have that stupid 15 day rule, I'd have taken 3 or 4 weeks off and then come back.
Felt tempting to wander down to Puertocitos or Loretto and sit on the beach with a fish pole and cervesa.
Oh well..back to waiting...waiting...waiting....
