As we look in at our combatant...er driver, we find him...

Well folks, got a load at Holcomb. Tyson had to reload 3 times to get the weight right. Told dispatch I had 3 hours left on my 14 and couldn't make delivery OT.
Start running anyway, we'll find a repower.
OK, but I'll end up in the middle of nowhwere and that won't work for a repower.
There are a half dozen trucks here at the Garden City TS...seems it makes sense to give me their load and they take mine.
    Nope.
So ended up spending the night in BFE.
QC message: Randall has student to meet you in Albuquerque. Can you make it.
Sure... if he's there by 0700.
    Promise.
Short version, 1000 get phone call from meat. "Why are you sitting. Run!"
    Waiting on student.
    Silence.
Well we made it. Arrived at dock with 5 minutes to spare.
Good thing this student can drive decently, but I'll tell you...saturday was a LONG day for me!
Deliver second drop at 0300 in Irvine, then have preplan for pickup in Mecca (Imperial Valley) tomorrow afternoon, going to Muncy.
So at least we'll be running.
Meanwhile, student already has two mountains.
So I hope the dry spell is over.

Thank you to everyone for their condolences, thoughts, and prayers. I thought losing my father to cancer 5 years ago was hard, but losing a younger sibling is even harder.
On a brighter note, Hubby is off of med hold and so far they are doing a good job keeping us running, without killing us. Hope it keeps up for the next few weeks so we can dig ourselves out of the hole. We told our DM that he needs to make sure we stay down South until we go back to the yard in mid-March, we'll see how that goes.
Everyone be safe out there with all the 'weather' that's going on right now.

Flight must of passed each other yesterday. I was westbound and stopped in rock springs about 6pm. The winds were nasty even with 43000 in the box.

Emu, what makes sense to us never makes sense to dispatch. At least it worked out.

Setting in boise tonight. Pu at idacold monday afternoon and head for detroit area. Canada load and canada will not allow me to enter.

Started this week on wed. Managed to run 2446 miles. Ov idle for the week 15%. All that time the shop was trying to get the truck to regen. Oh well. Ever since I have had this truck it would use a gallon of coolant a week. More when ever I was pulling hard. These past 5 days no coolant needed. RR and the shops would tell me the coolant usage was normal.

Did the check engine light ever come on for the coolant being low? If I top mine off and check it, by the second day it is low. If I just leave it alone it goes down to the 1/2 mark in the Res and stays.....

Every other morning, the low coolant light and the check engine light would be on. Down to the sensor, and if I only filled it to the seam, it would last a day or two... if I filled it all the way to the neck, 3 to 4 hours later, the low coolant light would come on on the dash.

Picked up a repower this evening. Drops at Cheyenne Wal Mart in the am. I took the load because it was heavier and thus I could get moving...so now I'm in Cheyenne whereas if I had not taken the repower, I would still be in Rawlins waiting for the wind to die down. I also took it because it delivers in the morning, so I should be able to grab a meat load out of NE pretty quick...hopefully before the snow starts falling too badly.
