I hated that after coming off home time.
Frieght is hit and miss in january. -
Sacramento. Wait and wait. Last time in dec I got 38 hours in sacramento then dispatched to salinas to wait another 18 hours on taylor farms.
-
Ha, Im right below Sac, in Tracy, does that mean ill prolly be sitting here for a good minute?

I talked to Adrian last night and he said that while everything is new and they are converting everyone, there will not be a line 5, but for the mean time just call in and safety will fix it. Says they are keepingnit strict and simple now until everyone is on the same page and then there will be a solution of the line 5 since L/O and O/Os can legally use that line under certain guidelines.
I fan see the point he is making and they are not saying you can't do it, just saying for now it requires a phone call. Compliance will always give you a no if it doesn't benefit them and requires thought. -
Just to add a note here, if you call in and have safety adjust your off duty drive time...... where do you think it goes? TADA!!!! THE INVISABLE LINE 5!
-
So the "its a PITA" answer she gave you in reguards to DOT, was more like a "Hey, I have no clue" answer.
Okay, I'm done post #######. I appologize. -
Dujo, we know you are bored waiting and waiting...
thanks for the information.
Why does dispatch NOT look at hours of service, before dispatching?
I have 6.5 hours for tomorrow, and they want me to pick up a nabisco load 60 miles away, and delivery it 323 miles away, in the same day. Pick up is in Chicago. Actual miles away, 343, making a total of 403 miles in 6.5 hours? did they fail math?
top it off the load was to be delivered this morning.
Nothing has changed with this so called "new" dispatch system. -
It's gonna be a cold one here tonight. It's already 8°, and it's forecast to go to -4°. My Weatherbug app actually has an igloo as the icon for tonight
.
Anyways...called Tyson. Load SHOULD be ready at around 1am. I'm trying to decide if I should go and grab it then or get a good sleep and get it in the morning. The problem with that is that it's supposed to be snowing in the morning. If I go at 1am to pick it up, then I'll only have a couple of hours of sleep, and I'll be nodding off after 100 miles.
###### if I do and ###### if I don't -
Brother, always give your body what it needs first..... its a machine too.
