Anyone deliver to the Pilot Watertower Cold Storage in Vernon?
We were lucky to be the first truck here, so backing isn't a problem. But my student has gotten an eyeful watching each subsequent truck back in.
This is got to be the tightest place I'm familiar with to back into the dock, if you're not the first truck in the lot.

That would have been us, Door 203. They didn't get us loaded out of Perdue until after midnight eastern time on the 23/24th. We had to route over Fancy Gap and Cumberland mtns because they were out of EZ passes when we picked up our new truck. Fuel econ sucked, hope this load is better. Checking the weather for routing now, looks like all is gonna be clear across I-80 except for wind today across WY. Hope you get a load soon, we were a bit worried when we saw all the Stevens' at the TA.

Well, got out of the dock and 10 minutes later a load to P/U down at the border (San Diego) and then to Massilon, OH for saturday evening delivery.
Oh, did I say it's suppose to be 75* here at the beaches today? :biggrin_25514:
Well, I know it's tough. But we'll do our part.
My student is going to be spoiled. He'll think this is what trucking is all about.

    TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

Picked up a Tyson load out of Amarillo this morning ran it to Flagstaff where I sit waiting for a steak dinner to come out here at Dennys. Load delivers on the 27th in Brea and then one other drop, should be no prob. Love when its tight, keeps me on my toes!!! Be safe, Shifty.

Dujo bet they send you to pick up michangelo and run it up to tyrell.

Setting in the dock at cosco atlanta. Any bets I get sent to the north side to pick up frozen chicken again? Even though I am 3 miles from kraft. Had to start my day at 0100 to make it here on time.

If the new dispatch system was working I would already know where I was going. Some of the dispatchers have their favorites and the rest of us get the left overs. Chicago and atlanta come to mind. That contributes to the late pick ups and the "hot" loads. New system takes that power away from the dispatcher.

Trkshoney full team, computer does not have to consider HOS. Emu, trainer, very rarely has HOS issue. Solo's bump their 14 and 70 all the time and the computer will not dispatch us, so we set until a human gives us a late load.

Other problem is the computer uses dispatched miles to dispatch which with many loads is short by 50 or more miles. That is an hour of drive time it does not consider. This is one of the reasons many companies changed to practical miles, so the computer dispatch was more accurate.
