Well, this load was just not meant to deliver today.
Woke up at Whiskey Petes after our brake and they were hustling us to hurry on in and the customer wouel work us in.
Sitting 2 1/2 hours at the top of Cajon. Accident closed the freeway 100 yards in front of us.
Two life flight helos.
Oh, well.
Some days go like that.

 

Called everyone on the list, looks like we dont even dispatch outta this area Tue and Wed, and dont worrie making some changes now. Ive never been late on a load, always run like hell when I have the miles, and have a good attitude. Not sure why im not getting better miles. Just keeping the hope alive at this time.

 

Kinda out of the blue, but an opportunity has presented itself. Not sure how to turn it down. See what happens the next few days but $18.50 and hour 70-80 hours a week anything over 40 is time and a half. On two weeks home 1 week. The week home you are compensated 40 hours reg time at $18.50 an hour. Same for a paid vacation every 6 months and daily tier based $50 bonus. Company pays for Hotel every night and per diem actually added to pay check every week.

 

On the low side, its 6 grand a month not including bonuses and per diem added. That's sick.

 

At least you watched it from the back of the pack, unlike some of those really unlucky drivers on I75 in Florida...

Yes, I normally take the 2 weekly $50 advances. That is what I live on out here.
