you only sent in a less-than-800 mile run. try to save up more miles before sending it in, altho it does kind of suck at the beggining, but once you get the hang of it, it gets better.

    BTW stay away from alliance

I had forgotten that company side transflos and is paid on each load.
It's possible to be paid 3x in the same week if you transflo three loads.
Alliance side transflos only once per week (or if you're like Dujo or me...and don't get around to it...two weeks :biggrin_2557:)
This can be a feast or famine business.
Two weeks ago, after all deductions, I think I netted around $200 for the week. Had just come off hometime and was getting back in the swing of things. I also put $350 per week into my T/O account.
But last week I netted over $2200.
I transflowed sunday for this week. I think it was around 3400 miles.
The ups and downs can kill you if you don't plan in advance.

Actually alliance may transflo as often as they want. Weekly is NOT required. Won't be a problem here in another few months, but if you are on paper logs, you must transflo your logs within 13 days, FMSCA regulation.

Yes this is a feast and famine business, and alliance can make that swing even larger. Business is about cashflow, and keeping it positive.

I asked about cash advances as that is actual pay, which so many drivers forget about. It is an interest free loan against your next settlement.

Make up your own mind about alliance. It has been positive for me, but I am single, and do not need to be home often, and I am debt free.

Its an offer and a thought as of right now. But is a straight company gig. Only thing I'd have to buy is steel toed boots. They even furnish uniforms and laundry service. And a chuck wagon to eat 2 meals a day. Sounds great!...... but so do a lot of other things at first. I worked off shore for a while, that's where the money is in my opinion.

I'm not sure why it would get easier once you "get the hang of it" if you couldn't make it alliance, what exactly did you get the hang of? Same job, different mentality. If you're going to make a statement like "stay away from alliance" then your statement should have some inclusive details as to why. Hundreds of successful alliance drivers here and the negative is becoming the minority for a reason. When I was alliance I took off still an average of 90 days per year and did not utilize a T/O account. I played it all by timing and never went negative caused by time off. Blanket statements indicate a schlub.

Heres my view, deductions are not taken out of every trip you scan in on the company side, only those that land closest to trips scanned in on Wednesday. Some trips you do pay out with little to no deductions depending on the amount of advances you have taken. I normally never take advances except to pay lumper fees or loading fees. Here is a 1400 mile trip I did, give you another example of how stevens pays out.

On the company side if your total isn't high enough they do not take out some taxes. I do not know what the threshold is, but it happened to me and I asked why they didn't take them out and that is the answer I got.
