Heading to the northeast with a 3 drop meat load...yippee!!
Somehow managed 669 miles on e-logs today. I am anxious to have a ciclized discussion with compliance next time I'm on the yard about this. When I was on paper logs and had a day like today, it was always compression / falsifying logs / technically impossible to average 60 MPH and I was remanded for it.
Wonder if I'll get my third gold star this time instead?![]()

I get to the Birmingham area a good bit. Bessemer and Gadsden to.

Sounds good. Yeah I hope I can run down south.

I scooted from Boise to the top of Elk Mtn, WY today. 649.8 miles in 10:59 (unlike Knew B, I have to stop for the bathroom
.) Severe clear all the way, but I know it's just the calm before the storm.
I have decided to give Alliance 1 more month to see how it goes. I will not be going home during March to see if it makes a difference. Hopefully, I might start making some money.
Rooster...if I may: I would suggest that you might want to pick your priorities. Training is exhausting and will include 14 hour days come your 3rd week. They cram a ton of stuff into your day. I can promise you that you will not have time for NASCAR...especially on your 1st day. It's just like when you're out here on the road. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice things that you really enjoy all in the name of getting freight moved. This profession really is a lifestyle, and as such requires a lot of adjustment from what you're used to. Anyways, I hate to sound preachy, but I want you to avoid as much heartache as you possibly can.Dieselten77 and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
I appreciate the advice.

yeppers, elogs are proving the assumptions about compression were wrong.
Flight did you enjoy the winding twisty road to the top of elk mountain? and did you park beside the cloud seeding cannons?
You stopped in the cold middle of no where.
Getting unloaded at target. -
Look at a map of the USA, that's where you will be running. Once you have a few years experience you may swing runs into the areas you like. In your first year if you request a run to Alabama you will be going to Oregon.
Corporal_Clegg, DUJO, flightwatch and 2 others Thank this. -
Day one of school is done. Long day doing paperwork and reading chapter 14.
Now time for the Daytona 500. -
Trucking is a larger version of NASCAR, as the old saying goes "LOAD IT LIKE A BOXCAR, DRVE IT LIKE A NASCAR!"

Hell yeah. Good motto
