Lol,come on Dryver, the truck is under warranty, any damage to the tranny is going to be covered.A newbie couldnt do enough damage to the tranny to make a difference.Imagine those trucks at the school and what they go through. You just ignore it,hell I still grind a gear every now and then. And yes it takes a lot of patience, hell they are already worried about what your going to say when they grind your gears.I never say a word.No biggie.

Lol,Im an old fart to,but I remember my first trainer, and what a jerk he was.Now I get along with pretty much everybody, and I was ready to kill this sob after the first week.Luckily he quit and moved on.My second,a black guy was cool, but taught me nothing. But I got through it.I swore if I ever trained,I would be nothing like either one.I try to remember that with every new driver that gets on my truck.Hell they are already scared as hell, that is if they have any common sense at all.It only can make it worse with a ######## of a trainer, lol.

oh I tied as big as a knot in the end of my rope, and I am hanging on, through the wind, the swings, the repowers, cancelled repowers, driver refusing repower....

Setting in winslow AZ now, waiting for a load coming out of the salton sea area, going to whole foods, in denver.

And then it will either be a short repower to home, or a long deadhead no pay home, to get this last tooth fixed. All depends on the driver with the nabisco load wanting to give it up and not wait a day to deliver.

Double check your contract friend. Mine even as a owner op said they will pay up to 425 to deadhead if they couldn't find a load for me. Just check...... wont hurt.

I get paid the shorter of two. ie, the deadhead home OR the deadhead to next shipper. Always ask, you will get it. JC takes care of his fleet.

Dropped two stop Peterbilt load in Cali. Picking up "The Limited" in LA then off to Denver, preplanned on load in Nebraska to Upper Marlboro. When i drop the Denver the Nebraska is already loaded, I confirmed. Never take a meat load of beef if it isnt redy when I get there or will be after a break. They have em, just have to be firm in getting them

Sitting at the Husky's in Mississauga, ON watching the snow flakes race each other sideways with the help of the 63km/h (40mph) winds. They gave me a Peterbilt load straight back to TX leaving tonight...well as long as the wind and snow allow me to.

Well I'll join the mopeing here.
Took a Hershey load south out of Ogden to meet a load heading into the NW coming out of Laredo.
Now, two days later, the other driver still hasn't made 600 miles.
    He isn't to Albuquerque yet!
The load is due in Salem, OR on tuesday morning.
The plan had been for me to grab it, head to Boise and repower it to someone emptying out in Ontario.
So here I sit in Bellemont (Flagstaff) with a load that has 201 miles left on it and not due until tuesday (Walmart load).
This was to be his load home (Tuscon).
How can someone NOT drive 600 miles in two days in flat terrain, good weather?
I'm so happy I could just spit!
