Made it to Muskogee tonight. I will be in Sanger by noon tomorrow. Somebody got a hold of both of my debit card numbers and tried to go on an online shopping spree with them. So now, both cards are cancelled and I am going home next week to get my new cards.

Emul: I know about those roads from when I lived in Vegas. Once you leave the city on any road but US95 or I15, it gets extremely lonely very quickly.

Unfortunately the staff at truck stops know we are out on the road all the time and never home so we are seen as easy targets for credit/debit card fraud and it is easy for them to get the card info from your purchases. I check my accounts on line daily.
I will probably get a response about throwing staff at truck stops under the bus, I had a brush with credit card fraud a few years ago, traced to a TA in Texas. I am glad you caught it and took care of it.

had a great trip from port allen LA to red bluff CA, but since i drive when i have miles to move unlike a lot of the stevens drivers i meet on the road. i arived a day and a half early. my dm has all but blown me off as far as getting a load out of here. i took a reset waiting to drop this load. called my dm when i arived told him i would have a fresh 70 after dropping this dry load, he said ok, good i'll see what i can do and hung up on me. since he has a track record of forgetting me and doesn't seem to remember my name i sent a msg mid day reminding him i would have fresh hours to run. got a call from dm about an hour before appt. he asked if i was going to be able to make it on time? when i reminded him i had been here for a day n a half he was obviously embarassed. when i asked what he had lined up for me to get rolling he said he was going home and that i would have to give hime more notice!! are all dm's this bad or is it just cuz im in grad fleet?

Yep that describes most DMs. There main focus is covering the late loads and forget about the drivers that do there job correctly. Now many late loads are not the drivers fault. One needs to learn to play the game.

Which is what I had to do with the boston meat load. I want to be home not in boston this weekend. So I took a break every 4 hours yesterday and used my 14 up. And only drove 470 miles. Well now the load is late.

Repower took place in morris I'll right where I suggested. Then DD the planner/dispatcher had me a drop and hook from champaign right back to aurora co. I wanted the cheyenne load but it was already dispatched.

Now had I just continued east requesting a repower home I would not be headed home. It truly sucks that I had to manipulate the system to get what I needed.

Well, they are grad fleet managers.Go around your manager and talk to the planners in the area you are at.The Dms are just like the drivers, some good some bad.You do not just have to rely on your DM.Your DM has little if anything to do with what load you get.The planners and dispatchers give you the load, not your DM.The more the planners and dispatchers learn your truck and your ability, the better loads your going to get. Now Im a lucky one.My DM knows he better be watching my truck,If Im sitting for a day and a half,he is going to get a call. But he knows this, and he keeps me moving to the best of his ability.Sometimes it cant be avoided.Call the receivers and see if they will take it early.Get with the csr and see if the load can be moved up.Put in your repower request.Show up at the receiver early and play dumb. There is a lot of things you can try to keep yourself moving.Good luck, you will learn the system.

My grad DM was pretty bad. Lazy as can be. Regular fleet was ok. Not great but not too bad. I didnt appreciate his little threats though.

    Let me guess...Brian Ladd.

Another wonderful day for me today. I woke up this morning and pulled my curtain down to see my drivers side mirror flush against the door. YAY ME!! I climb out the passenger side and start taking pictures. Luckily, no real damage. A pretty deep scratch on the mirror cover, and a small one where the fender meets the hood by the turn signal. This time, I didn't feel a #### thing. The other driver, of course, didn't wake me up or leave a note. Like a coward, he took off.
    Here is a picture:

Other than that, I got to Sanger this afternoon. Immediately after I get unloaded, I get a message from Will asking me if I could run a load up to Lubbock that delivers tomorrow afternoon. I accept it and head down to the Haslet Pilot to wait for the repower. After waiting close to 4 hours, the driver shows up and we swap trailers. I get the load assignment, and the delivery is scheduled for 0600...not the afternoon like will stated. I left the Pilot, but only had around 3 hours left on my 14. So here I sit in Seymour on yet another load that is going to be late due to no fault of my own.

I really want to find out why they continue to give me the loads that are impossible to deliver on time.

The answer is because you keep saying yes when ever they call. You have that reputation with them.

The other driver did not feel a thing either and did not realize he clipped you.
