I drove past JCT HQ the other day. Looks like a nice place.

Your choice made me curious, I talked with a JCT driver the other day for a couple hours. The program seems great. The only thing that was odd was the dash for the truck. You have to run, get the mileage, truck number and odometer reading and then the truck is yours. I wish you the best. My eyes and ears are always open to new ideas, I am not looking to leave Stevens but as far as total loyalty, Its not there. So if something presents itself without any doubt I would look into it. For now I continue to do my job. Good luck let us know what happens.

Well I can say right off the bat that the hotel accommodations are much nicer than anything Stevens ever offered. They are basically of La Quinta quality, but we all get our own room.

I have also heard that the truck selection process is strange. I will definitely let you know. I am also not trying to persuade anybody to quit Stevens. I had a not so good experience, but that doesn't mean that somebody else will have the same luck. Obviously, you have to do what you feel is in the best interest for you and those who depend on you, and I don't know if JCT is right for me. All I can do is try it out. I will say that so far I am impressed, but a nice hotel doesn't pay the bills...unfortunately.

what's strange?they line you up,and give you a go signal and you run to a truck.all trucks when i was there didn't have apu's.then you inspect them, and you take the sheets to the shop where you beg for them to repair the defects.for an example,my drive tires where barely at the min. tread depth, but they wouldn't replace them.guess what happened the next time i was in the shop, past the warrenty?you guessed it,new drive tires.and the trucks you get to chose will be in the small pen to your right just past the guard shack.while everyones on a smoke break, you could sneak down and check them out and pick one so u know which one to race to at selection time.and i'm not kidding about the race.

You mean they actually make grown men race to the truck of their choice like kids racing to be first in line at the Ferris Wheel?

Is it me, or is that the dumbest way to assign trucks? So foot speed means more to them than experience? You know they are laughing at you running for basically identical trucks. I wouldn't work for a company that degrades you like that.
