Since Stevens has some of the newest trucks out there and tons of people in this forum have gotten newer trucks I can see why he would be pissed off with a 2007 when everyone else is getting a 2011. Cant fault him for that.

Got call from Megan in recruiting yesterday about my app. I have been in hospitality for 15 years and with the economy only getting about 30 hours a week. I thought when new management company came in they might turn it around. Been a year. Columbus is not exactly a tourist destination. We survive on corporate business and when no one is hiring, they aren't training and having meetings. Anyway, will let everyone know how it goes after my phone call to recruiting. Have a good day!

Well yeah we can fault him for that. Its the mentality of todays generation of you owe me something.I started with a piece of crap,no apu,T2000 with 400000 miles on it.So he should have as nice a truck as me,a four year veteran at Stevens thats payed his dues with 600000 miles OTR.Trains their drivers, perfect service record, etc, etc. You take what thry give you and earn your next truck. After he had gotten through grad theyt would have given him a nicer truck.Sometimes its all they have available at the time.So yeah I think we can fault him.

Why would living in Clearwater be a problem?

I used to live in Orlando and didn't have a problem. Just have to do a little more planning to get home.

As was said, clearwater will be a problem...
Not enough freight in and OUT of florida for them to hire anymore drivers from that area at this time.

You were given the reason, they don't need anymore drivers from Florida.
