I think I squeezed about as much out of my 70 as possible. I'm sure Mother will have a discussion next time I'm on the yard, about compression.
    <sigh!>
Deliver tomorrow night, reload and head south again.
Meantime, had dinner with wife tonight. Nice to do layover close to home like this.
Got stopped for a random inspection today.
Truck, Trailer and Logbook passed. Guess I'll save that for ammo with Mother's compression talk. :biggrin_25522:
Guess I missed the weather. Big storm coming in off the Pacific. Heard the snow level was down to 3,000 feet with as much as 2 feet expected around Donner.
    Phew!
(Good thing I go over Montgomery)

As for the refer question? That space under the table has a removeable shelf. Unscrew it and store it under the bed. (Makes a nice shelf over the Heater unit)
The mini fridge will fit there now.

:biggrin_25523:yep dryver hard to keep up with the old hand.

    My lucky day the 13.

Only took an hour for my final live load yesterday, so I ran, and made it to oklahoma city for the night. Even found a parking spot at the first place I looked at 0030.

Having breakfast at the waffle house. Yum yum.

I am running on one dedicated account now: Heinz
I run from Ontario, OR to LA area...normally Ralphs, then pickup in San Ysidro (on the border south of San Diego) and backhaul to Ontario.
About 1,000 miles each way. Three trips per week.
Often get unloaded, then loaded at the same door in Ontario.
    Saves backing :biggrin_25525:

    Dryver Thanks this.

    an interesting question at least!
I love the OTR, but my wife's health dictates I stay close to home.
    This works out great.
I ran this route for years. A lot of San Diego to Hawthorne NV and Boise.
    Old home days, I guess.
About the only thing I notice that has changed over the years is 395 is widened in a few more places and the Lounge on the summit of Montgomery Pass burned down in the last couple years.
    Other than that...tumbleweeds and dust!

Good call on the spouse Emu. I have to say that if I were to have a dedicated run then SoCal >< NWest is close to the top of the list.

One thing that sticks in my mind from Stevens school and orientation is COMMUNICATION. They pounded this into our heads.

There is very little communication from Stevens (except for Adrians stupid generic messages) and they seem to get aggravated when you try to communicate with them.

It took an act of congress to find out if I was getting off for Christmas. I bet that it took 2 weeks to find out with me sending messages daily.
