Typical week-end crew, LOL. You got Abbot and Costello, the 3 Stooges, etc, etc. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Come on emu, just drop that load at colton and get that load going to indy. Then you can stop and take this 5 dropper meat load I am now baby sitting.

    Sarcasim

According to elvis the 2010 cummins are all having fan hub failures between 350,000 and 400,000 miles. I have 364,000. Would not be so bad, but people around here don't work weekends. So I wait for monday.

I wonder how long before dispatch realizes this meat load will also be late?

Sitting at the petro (old steel city) in brazil iN.

Went over to the Stage Stop for a bite to eat.
Took my time, book and all.
Wandered back...QC has preplan....pickup in San Juan Basta Monday afternoon, take to Muncie, IN for friday delivery.
Call....wait thru 14 calls ahead of me.
"I think I had this discussion with dispatch this morning."
"yea..I see the notes. We moved the pickup date so you can deliver your load tomorrow, then go get this one."
"But I need to be in San Diego on monday...on my way to pick up my load on my dedicated account."
"hmmm. don't see anything about that. Can you go to San Juan after you go to San Diego?"
    "they're in opposite directions."
    "They are?"
Now I wonder if I should take this to the next step.... I have to...this is just too tempting.
"Yea. It will take me a while to get across the border once I'm in San Diego. That crossing at San Ysidro is pretty busy."
"Border? Why are you crossing the border?"
"San Diego seceeded from California and is now part of Mexico."
    (long pause)
    "Are you serious?"
"Yea, once you go south of Camp Pendleton, you have to have a passport."
    (another pause)
"I'll check on that and get back to you."

I know my DM is going to see this one monday morning and know exactly who to call.:biggrin_25525:

Sometimes picking on the weekend crew is just too much fun.

a carefully worded message got my phone to ring... and Kelly called me a jerk...:biggrin_2556:
Meat dispatch that used to be my DM... no he did not realize that I was brokedown, and he goes, this is going to be a ####### of a load to get repowered, 5 drops in NJ....and being in brazil....

Sorry but I did NOT pick where the fan hub went out.... and since all of those meat patch trucks are now headed for the east coast, he can't even find an empty close by... I suggested Edwardsville, only 180 mile deadhead to get to me.....

I told Kelly that I got your attention with my message....
"to whom, you people in dallas do realize that I will not be delivering this load on Monday? I will be going to Kenworth."
    Now where was I a jerk?:biggrin_25523:

Where does he get off calling you a jerk?!?!?!? If meat dispatch would answer their phones OR return your call when you leave a voicemail they could avoid SOME of their problems!!!

    Remember...
dispatch works the same everywhere. give the load out and never worry about it again.
Now they have to worry...not in the playbook.

    TRKRSHONEY and DUJO Thank this.

Kelly and I go back 4 years. I took no offense as I knew it would get the needed phone call to get the ball rolling on this load.

Dispatch could very easy avoid some problems, but once they assign the load it becomes someone elses problem.

And he was going to ring the repower guy's neck for dumping this 5 dropper on a broke down truck. Gonna be hard to convince anyone but a rookie to take it.
