Well, sorry but I have a sense of humor and I like to have fun while working. It makes the day go quicker.
And I will agree with you on one thing. If someone knocked on my door to say something stupid like that, I would be pizzed too. Do you actually think that myself or (going out on a limb here) Flight would do something that stupid? Come on!
When I cut up with a Stevens driver it is at the pump. 100% of the time the driver has laughed and we talk for a few minutes. No harm done and no one has got mad at me yet.
If I ever see you I will put my sour puss face on and keep on walking. Hell, I bet that you are one of the drivers that look at me with that blank look on your face when I wave.
So maybe you need to lighten up a little bit...

Don't see the harm in it unless you let it go too far. When I was a rookie, the big joke was to move someone's truck while they were in the T/S.
flightwatch Thanks this. -
I'm here. Long ### days on the hill in the heat. Oh yeah and Americas best value motel is terrible. Chilling in my room at motel 6 next door. Get to see the doc tommorrow then roadtest
-
Good luck on the road test. You will do fine.

Home time is when I cut up... I don't have time to play on the road, but I'm always curteous to others and that doesn't involve "playing". I'm focused on my job and getting down the road. If some others had a similar mentality loads would be on time and there wouldn't be anyone else to blame when it hits the fan due to their "trashing" around and "cutting up". I have a great sense of humor, but i have an even stronger work ethic. Focus on the right things and practice "positive self discipline". You'll go further.
TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Whatever... I do my job just fine and have fun while doing it.
I have zero accidents, tickets, etc. Never got in trouble while I worked at Stevens nor have I at my current job (These are my only 2 "truck driving" jobs.),
The only time that I was late was when Stevens would put a load on me that couldnt possibly make it on time and couldnt/wouldnt repower. I think this only happened once or twice.
The only thing that would be considered an incident (if they even put it on my file which Im sure they did) was when I woke up after about 5 hours sleep in CA. I got out to do my PTI and the reefer was out of fuel. Before I went to bed I checked the fuel level and had a half of a tank. Only two possibilities that I can think of is someone stole fuel or the gage was off but it had been working fine before that.
So, yes, it's possible for someone to have fun and enjoy themselves while working and doing a good job at it.
Thanks for your opinion though.flightwatch and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Yea, I dont see the harm. I dont mind somebody havin some fun if it doesnt hurt anyone. Seems like a harmless enough joke to me.
I guess this shows that you should watch who you try this on. I just dont understand why people get so bent out of shatpe over little stuff like that.Jarhed1964, nascarchuck and flightwatch Thank this. -
