And as TLea says...the fun continues.
Sitting here in Springfield, waiting my turn to go into the caves and got a preplan.
Pick up in Rogers and take to New York.
Got message to call for verbal instructions on this load.
Call the planner and he tells me, "I need you to pick this one up. We're tight on time, so just start running it and your DM will repower you on monday.
    Shades of last week!
Talk with DM...he says, "Absolutely not! Your at 94 days now. You can't go!"
So we'll see what happens after I send in my empty call.
Wanna bet I'm back at the shores of the big apple again?

And the gremlins strike again. Blew a trailer tire on I40. Sounded like a shotgun. Checked them all this morning while getting the marker lights replaced. And it blew just as I passed the rest area, so here I sit waiting.

40 minutes on hold waiting for road rescue. Now get this new policy; they will not send a service truck to work on the side of the road we must limp it to a safe area or being a contractor pay for the tow to a safe area. To hell with that policy, so I limped it down to the next exit, and crossed over to the other rest area. I did not care what additional damage it did to the rim or trailer. So here I will take my break too.

Good freakin' gravy. Got bugged all day asking if I was going to make my last wally world drop on time. Geeze.
Oh, and our newest trailers are taller inside, too tall for our cargo locks to work vertical. Double geeze.

    Ha Ha:biggrin_25523:
Back when our trailers went from 96" to 102", had to get new load locks. Then trailer heights increased.
Get a few short pieces of 2x4" and they will take up the slack. I also had a few 8' 1x4's to put against the walls to give a larger area for the load locks to push against.
Of course, then you have to worry about losing the blocks when you do a trailer swap on a repower and it is a sealed load.:biggrin_25510:

Buzzard, we started at Stevens about the same time. We probably know each other, did you go to the Stevens school?

No, i had my chauffeur's license and was grandfathered in when CDL's came out. I got my commercial license in 1970. I knew someone who drove for Steven's and it worked well for me.
And no, i never was a trainer.

Or just take a couple into the parts desk when you're on the yard and swap them out. They do it for free.
