New water trailer on the yard.
This one's painted black.
Blackwater?
I already figured out a few problems with the new QC.
First of all, I use to balance the old one on my stomach and against the steering wheel so I could read and type.
Now it just pushes the keyboard back into itself.
Need a longer cord on it. This one is too short. I've already dropped it twice as I pull it out of the mount.
It's top heavy...droops down as I drive down the road. Got the mount as tight as can be.
And it's mounted so low, I have to let all the air out of my seat to see the screen.
Oh yea....just the vibration heading down the road makes it impossible to read the GPS screen.
I'll post more complaints later after I calm down.

going home does not increase the income for the month....
My QC cord reaches all the way into the sleeper with ease...
Mine also tends to vibrate down as I drive, don't want to tighten any farther, as the plastic will break.
QC gps.... lol... roflmao, lol... very irritating too. And the voice they picked, wrong pitch to hear driving down the road. Need to be able to change voice.
Got message 30 minutes ago that load assignment was coming my way now!!!! -
Crossing Donner from Cali into Nevada, Memorial Day week-end and it's 37 degrees and SNOWING!!!!
-
The fun never ends.
This is a tight load to the first drop. Produce made sure I was not to leave the yard until they had confirmed my load ready to pick up. (Taylor Farms).
12:26- "This is Jonathon in Produce. Your load is ready. Head on over and get rolling."
13:02- "What load? That won't be ready for at least a couple hours! Who sent you over here?"
So down to Walmart to wait.
Meanwhile....my QC died just as I exited the freeway.
Road Rescue says to call back tuesday and they'll see where I'm at and where to get it fixed.
Oh, and did I mention? My coffee cup doesn't fit in the holder (regular 16oz cup) because the QC is mounted too low! -
It always snows for memorial day weekend. Summer does not begin until the 22nd of June.
I saw they way they mounted the QC in Emusified's truck, and it would be on the floor if it were me.
Goes to show just how much produce is NOT doing their job.
Took Walmart just over 4 hours to unload and check in my consolidator load... only had 14 po's...
Still no load, and with this storm front moving across, I will NOT drive an empty trailer across the high plains of Colorado and Kansas, Or to Home... Bordeaux has already had wind gusts to 80 mph. Wind chute north of cheyenne. -
Got my load assignment, holcomb to Maine... good run. DLD Monday 0200. now that sucks, but with this wind, a blessing.
So for fun I called for the weather master talk, and the gentlemen in safety needed to blow off some steam... so we did, about how driving in 60 to 80 mph winds is a good idea, with sails, and outriggers, and counter weights, just have to watch out for clearance... we both had a good laugh... wind event is from southern california across to mid Kansas today... yet drivers are trying to drive.
So I am going to play predict the wind, and try to slide into holcomb before the DLD. -
My QC stopped working, then they replaced.it with a new one at the yard....... Now it seems to have killed itself also. I called in and its not even mapping. Oh well, drop in Denton and head to the yard again to get another "new" brain put in it.

TLea...the best sails for downwind and speed are spinnakers.

Box of Rocks here...may change my posting name.
Started for PU at Taylor, unit died.
got it fixed this morning after finishing drop in Springfield and edited everything to match my paper logs.
Then had to have safety fix. Somehow, rocks here edited his sleeper time into drive time.
Got it fixed, put myself on ON DUTY to do PTI and it all defaulted back to drive time.
This unit has no idea (and Stevens too) how close I came to Qualcommicide with my 3 pound hammer.
Sticking with paper now. don't care. probably get called back to the ranch for this, but I don't have enough BP meds on board.
And yes....its on the floor.
Next stop it may get kicked out the door.
Oh, well...onto Salem, MO for my final. -
Was awakened this morning by the rocking of the truck. Only the wind. Really not very strong either, just the way it was hitting the trailer. I was awake so headed to holcomb. Get message that load is ready. And it is, 36 hours early. And only 1 stop with 30,000 lbs.
Eating some lunch and then nock out some miles. Let's see if a can get repowered off this load due on the 1st.
