The TA East here in Ontario is more than half empty.
Must mean freight is running good...or they closed the border.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for a load. Shouldn't be a problem. Last night they told me about a bunch of them...Denver, Cheyenne, Cedar Falls, Green Bay...hmmmm
    TL you may be right...

Dropped my load at Kraft last evening. I could hardly get the 'at final' message out and they were done! Wow! Wish they'd give some lessons to Ralphs.
Found out I can drive from the TA to Kraft and back and still be off duty.
So far this thing has crapped out only twice in the last 5 days. Also found out when it craps out when you're driving it defauts to On Duty, but if it dies when off duty, it stays there.
Wonder if Mother will notice I moved more than 100 miles while off duty?

Ran as far as my elogs would allow... stopped for a 34 hour reset in Big Springs NE... now have a load that delivers on Monday in Hannibal MO.. 3200 miles on elogs in the last 7 days. Only have 5 hours for Sat and Sun, so the reset is needed.

Ever just look at the miles and delivery date and say: "i don't feel like working today?"

    No..can't say as I did.

Well I picked up my second pick first. In Lindsay. 104 degrees.
Got to my first pick a bit ago..Taylor Farms in Salinas...56 degrees.
    Talk about a manic swing!

This load is heading to Cedar Falls.
    That's about right...
Still haven't gotten the swing on this Elog thing. Mother will have a fit.
Next time I'm on the yard, they'll have to reserve an entire day for me to go over all the issues.
So far I've forgotten about half the time to send in a 58&59. I'm pretty good about doing the 30 minutes on my logs, tho.
    Couple times I forgot.
that's the trouble with Elogs. I can't go back and fix them. I know everyone else seems to be able to, but after the last go around, night safety asked me not to try and edit these things...'just go with whatever you have.'...
I hate not being able to look down and see what hours are coming back when.
Yea, yea, yea...that's probably in there too, but remember...you're dealing with a box of rocks.
I think I better take next week off. If I get pulled in for a review, they'll likely run out of pages in their citation book.

Just arrived at Haegan Farms in Manor, GA. If any of you have been here, bet you don't ever come back, LOL. It is in the middle of nowhere, about 20 miles from the Okefenokee Swamp. They require you to arrive at night, but they won't load you til the next morning. Nightmare location!!

Oh, BTW, make sure you have food on the truck, this is 52 miles back in the 'wilds'.

    In Wells, NV tonight.
You know the place...where the crossroads of nothing meets nowhere.
    I'm at the J.
Still trying to figure out the Satan's tool, aka EOBR
it says I drove 623 miles today and had 21 minutes left on my 11.
My speedometer says I drove 659 miles today, as does my GPS.
Now keep in mind I left Salinas, so about 325 miles was in Cali, and I don't speed.
Well maybe 2 or 3 mph.
So it seems to be giving me extra time, but not counting all the miles
I looked thru the different windows and it says I'm getting 8.1mpg, I'm over speed 53.44% and my idle is 1.22%.
I understand the mpg and idle, but how in the world am I over speed 53% of the time?
There aren't that many down hill runs!
Tomorrow I'm going to make a note of the time I leave just for S&Gs. I think this thing gave me about 20 extra minutes today.
According to my GPS, it's 633 miles to Cheyenne. Wonder what this thing will give me.
I should be able to make it in time.
Unless it subtracts the extra time it gave me today from tomorrow's time.

    TL...have I got a deal for you!
I'll be about out of time when I get to Cheyenne. (4 hours comes back)
I can repower someone's Walmart load and deliver it, then you can repower my empty and go home. I'll finish my 34 and deliver yours.
Shouldn't be a problem. At the rate this thing is working, I'll get back 80 hours after a 34! :biggrin_25521:

I'm not worried about how many hours I'm getting back...that's a whole different can of beans...I hate not being able to look at the bottom of my log and seeing the returning hours for the next week.
This makes trip planning a real PIA.
I am saying this thing is giving me extra time.
There is no way anyone can travel 659 miles in 10:39 if they don't exceed 58mph the first 325 miles.
But then if it's giving me time....I may grow to like this!
Imagine mother's face when she sees me traveling all these miles in legal time...and she can't call "COMPRESSION!"

We have been having the same 'problem' since we got this new truck in Dec with the new QC. We tend to 'lose' 3% of the miles that we actually drive. We thought it was a problem with the truck, but maybe the QC is screwing things up. The only times that we are over the paid miles is when we decide to go way out of route for one reason or another, usually we are 40-100 miles under.
