    A person should not have to threaten to get what was promised up front...training done in 5 weeks. It is hard even with savings to survive the training program on 350 a week. Yet Stevens will stretch it out if you let them. Keep that freight moving, don't worry about the promises made to the person, they don't matter, we will just put another body in the seat. :biggrin_25516:

    Today is the completion of two full weeks in grad fleet. At first things were a little slow, however, this week things have been better. While I am sitting here at a receiver in
    Salem, VA I figured I would update my fuel numbers:

    04/16/10 616 miles 92 gallons 6.7 mpg
    04/18/10 697 miles 90.6 gallons 7.6 mpg (this was from Albequerque to Yuma).
    04/22/10 684 miles 101 gallons 6.5 mpg
    04/23/10 673 miles 102 gallons 6.5 mpg
    04/26/10 895 miles 120.7 gallons 7.4 mpg
    04/28/10 781 miles 106 gallons 7.3 mpg

    TOTAL 4316 miles 616 gallons 7.0 mpg

    Lately I have been driving the truck between 56-58 mph. This is painfully slow, however, the fuel numbers reflect the slower driving. Slowly but surely I plan to improve these numbers. I have a target of 8.0 mpg but that will take some fine tuning of my driving habits.

    I had the pleasure of meeting TLeaheart. He is a true professional and an all around nice guy.

    Has anyone heard from Smokr? I hope he is doing well out there.

    any body know who stevens uses to do the back ground checks?

    ive seen some one on one of these threads say they couldnt go into canada.if you have a pass port what else would keep you from going into canada? felonys etc?

    Canada, yuk...not canada personally, but the hassels of crossing the border, the border checks, the paperwork, the brokers, the time wasted waiting to cross...and no pay for all the extra work.

    some of the reasons canada will NOT let a US citizen into Canada are; felony, as defined by canada law, DUI, DWI, delinquent on child support, (canada is a socialist government)....

    I always wonder about the fascination by newbies wanting to drive a big truck into Canada.

    Does it matter, don't try and hide anything, as they will find it. Then you will be fired for a false application. Computers talk to computers...your entire life is out there for them to find.

    I suppose once you experience it the excitement diminishes! I really don't care if I never make to Canada. If I go with Roehl I'll surely get there. If I go with Millis I don't have to worry...
    I know this is a Stevens thread, but they never made me an offer. I did apply there...
