You have to be comfortable if you live on the road. I've always had a condo, hence the screen name. I've had a few flat top loaners and one stand up sleeper. Actually I wouldn't mind a stand up sleeper. They seem to have more storage.

Just heard 'through the grapevine' that the tanker division has been shut down and all the drivers that were hired straight out as tanker drivers have been laid off.

I am in cdl school and looking at stevens. what is the minimum age they hire, and if i stayed out on the road for 8 weeks after going through training how much home time should i expect to get? im planning on going on a trip to florida this december and want to take a week off. Will they do this and do they have much business in FL?

you may be able to work something out. Correct me someone if I'm wrong, but I believe they begin to frown on more than 5 days consecutive.

Wow, so they can stop claiming never to have had a lay off in the history of the company..

    My thoughts exactly.

I have a 4 drop load from greeley to the east coast. And the CSR is really making mistakes. Can't even get the apointments in the order of the load. And the drops. Are north baltimore, edison nj, same day and 4 hours between appt. Not going to work. They are 190 miles apart. Then next day, boston and agusta maine.
But the csr set baltimore for 11am and nj for 7am.
