I just booked my flight but going to DFW, Love field is more expensive. I booked this on my new cell phone..LOL I didn't realize how far back in the dark ages I was until I got this Iphone...LOL

 

I was always taught to treat other people's stuff better than my own stuff

 

After I delivered here in Cally, and only having 3 hours left for the day with 0 coming back, MY DM and I agreed I would do a 34 hour reset, and then get a load to the dallas area... That was yesterday...
As my apu took a dump again, only after a week from the last repair, I got me a hotel room to avoid the 100+ degrees... My phone rings, produce, needing me to pick up a load of berries, going to Cedar Falls... I don't have the hours, don't you pay attention? Yes you do was his response... Besides I stated I would not be available for dispatch until 6am friday... and as an independent contractor, that is when I will be ready for dispatch.

Then I called my DM, and he is working on getting it corrected. Oh well, just a few more days of the lack of communication.

Highwayman - I think if it's within three years, they pretty much do a refresher...so you should be good to go with only a year and a half. There may be different policy variations from company to company, though, so don't take my rambling as gospel.

 

I saw a Stevens truck on 301 north at around 1:30 pm today in Waldorf, Md. Made my day seeing a truck in my neck of the woods finally, I was beginning to wonder if they travelled this area or not. Wasn't sure if I was going to get home for real long periods of time. So that put a smile on my face knowing they do come to this area.

You know how when you go buy a new truck or something and you never see another one like it until after you bought it then they are everywhere...LOL

we delivery north of there, in upper marlboro, and south of there in mechanicsville.

 

pretty much what happened, still have the same load, just pick it up in the morning.... so I call the cooler, to see what time they open in the morning, 0800, and explained that I would be there then... gave them the pickup #, and they said thanks, now we won't be waiting for you to show up tonight, before 11pm, when we close. Stevens did not notify them again....
